Only two out of five there.

Friars finally got results for their improved efforts and playing list!

Only a lazy 113 point turnaround from 6 weeks ago.

A good example as to why I don't gamble, I'm an average tipster.
Went to Gillion oval to watch 2 play 3. at qtr time the looked like by how far as NOBs were all over Williamstown, by half time a complete reversal as the NOBs only held an 8pt lead. An even third saw NOBs lead by 7pts. Then bang an 8 goal to 3 last qtr saw Williamstown run all over NOBs.

I have watched two Williamstown games now and apart from the slow starts are work reasonably hard throughout the game. They should play deep into the finals this year, they are not pretenders. But as I said I'm not a gambler

Was wanting to watch this game, would of been a cracker to be at!
Did you get a look at the good players for both sides? Who played well?
I see molan and keown continued there dominance for their respective clubs, anyone else?

has anyone seen many of old mentonians games? they look to have some real young talent in particular number 1 edgeworth who took the best mark ive seen in local footy for a long long time against melbourne high.

The VAFA website now allows for ladder predictions if you input the results for upcoming fixtures. I had a crack, trying to go on current form, head-to-head history and leaving out any surprise results that you tend to see at the pointy end of the season. The final ladder looks fairly straight-forward, with Willy and NOBS fighting it out for second spot.

Anyone else had a crack at this?

Therry Penola 72
Willy 56
NOBS 52
Geelong 44
Mentone 36
Prahran 32
Whitefriars 28
Yarra 28
Bulleen 12
MHSOB 4

Hey lads. I am in my mid 20s and I currently play at a club where I've won 6 snr games in as many seasons, while I have some good footy ahead of me I would like to move comps and into another, I live in the Bulleen area, so Bulleen Temp would be the club I would look at.

How is the football quality? I am not the very best footballer going around, just thought I would mention that.

Got any functions on tonight Kruzering ?

It's certainly been a tough year to schedule functions with wins this year for the friars.

You guys should have a bit more flexibility next year as there will be a few more easy beats in d2.

I am tipping the upset of the year this week, Yarra to beat Therry! They are the last team to do so and will do so again this week.

Round 15
Og's to end Mentone's finals run
TP
Williamstown need % from this game weather may not help
Bulleen @ home
NOB's

Good luck

Yesterday I parked my car in a friends driveway. I now drive an auto and somehow I forgot to put the handbrake on and must of somehow left the car in neutral. After having dinner at my friends place, another friend arrived alerting me to the fact that my car had rolled across a main road and luckily stopped itself by smashing into a street sign.

Is this boarderline ******ed behaviour? Yes! Most certainly.

Would this stupidity see me unable to be a D1 VAFA umpire??? Definately not!

Do elaborate Kruzering

Seems like he is saying the umps were crap today. But threw in a wicked car story. Hard to get out of a car left in manual with hand brake off on a slope.
But still a good read.

Well looks like Therry are continuing to sweep everything in front of them. The upset of Old Mentone beating Geelong has really opened up the battle for 4th spot. Mentone play Bulleen at home this week while Old Geelong face Whitefriars away. Also looks like Willy should hold onto second spot judging by recent form.

I have heard Old Geelong aren't allowed to sell beers after the game at Como anymore due to liquor license issues. Anyone on here know anything about this? Would be very hard to socialise after the game without a bit of amber lubricant.

...further proof that smoking bongs from a young age will hinder brain development

Assume with Banyule pulling out, only MHSOB will drop a grade this year? Good news for BT and Friars.

Given what happened to the 9th team which won a reprieve when Werribee and Rupertswood left the VAFA recently, finishing 9th may not be a good omen for BT or Friars.

Round 17

Nob's
Geelong
Yarra
Williamstown
Therry

Nobs to finish of Mentone's run and set the final 4.

Good Luck

Amazing work by Jarrod Bannister to kick his 100th goal with one game to spare on the weekend.

The final four looks pretty much set barring any monumental upsets in Round 18. In terms of getting reedy for finals, would Willy, NOBS or Therry being looking to rest any of their players in Round 18? From memory NOBS is a very mature side so a week off could help a lot of their players. Would Therry give the Bannister's as week off to avoid any injuries that might occur?
