Who do you think will win the D1 Best & Fairest medal later this year?

Here are my tips:

1. M. Pietryk (Bull Temp)
2. T. Rees (Peninsula)
3. A. Sleight (Prahran)

Outsider: G. Carr (Hampton Rovers) & M. Lawrence (Hampton Rovers)

I don't think you can predict how the umpires are going to vote in D1. They can't even adjudicate the game correctly, let alone award the better players with votes. Logic would suggest a "stand out" type player who's had a good year from one of the more successful sides will win it. Or a captain that "relates well" to the umpires.... hence my tip to be Buckets from Hampton Rovers. Kicked a few bags.
 
This is the reason why the umpires in D1 (with one or two exceptions) are not that good compared to their counterparts in A & B, who are excellent, and we will see most of them on Saturday due to A-C sections getting a week off. (I wonder why the same can't apply to D1-get a week off, so that every team can get ready for either relegation playoffs or finals)

It's Buckers and he's no good. Spends too much time eating Red Rooster. Now they've introduced fish to the menu he's rattled. Watch the wheel turn. He'll be a backman again before we know it.

G.Carr?! There's only one outsider of the automobile variety. Get on board the vintage ferrari. The 39 model will take you places like no other.;)

Ulbrich (Hampton) and Cleary/Briggs (Oakleigh) i reckon will poll well.
Casey Scorpians were stupid to let him go, should have kept him happy.

are you serious? the umpires wont look past my golden boots when giving votes... its the little things that i do in a game that will win it for me. these flashy finishers like cleary, lawrence and this overly tanned ferrari guy you are on about wont fool the umpires. its the in and unders like me that will poll well!

Like me at the moment, you couldn't get a kick in a streetfight Holt. Get rid of the boots. They're only drawing attention to the fact you've got a bald scone and can't get near it.
