You seem to know a bit about the districts thevet, can i ask what your affiliation is?

I saw SMD against the Demons last year and I was in the neighbour hood on Saturday.

Are my sources correct regarding your former skipper, he may struggle to get a game in the one's.

I am not in the inner sanctum of the club mate so i couldnt tell you. From saturday i can tell you that south have gone for a three captain system, but i only know that paul cheevers was one of them unsure of the other two.

i am sure if he was fully fit the bloke your referring to would slot straight back into the middle of the ones. ferocious at the footy and very good with his disposals

SMD may struggle if there big no8 full foward does not play, I think the guy that played FF on the weekend was the full back from last year. He is not the answer at FF, maybee no7 who had a big GF last year could play there, he is a good mark and can kick goals from what ive seen.

heard from a close source that the districts have picked up a key foward who played two years tac cup befor last year playin snrs......
can any sth ppl fill us in

Heard that we all might as well pack up and go home now. SMD are the team to beat, we are all fighting for second! I'll let our coach know that we have no chance!

dont worry kibe, i am tipping that the animals will give the districts a wake up call come rd3.

Played tac cup, who cares,

Most clubs would have ex and current TAC / VFL reps playing with their chosen club when not getting a game at that higher level.

Untill the districts do something worth spruking about i will continue to have my doubts.

Dont worry bob i play at the districts and we are not getting carries away with 1 win. Long way to go and if you read previous posts dill you will relise we are not pumping ourselves up.

In regards to the key forward i have no idea who you are talking about. It will be interesting to see if there are new players at training tonight.

Nothing like a cold wet night at training to bring out the 'stricts....:p

I think this has become the district board.

Surely there are some posters from other clubs out there dying to reveal some information.

Does anyone from bentleigh know whether or not the better dimma (no offence to Frank) is going to get a few games in this season?

Im from Bentleigh and i can tell yopu the best Dimma will be playing a few games this year and that is Andrew.

Who does everyone think will be the last team to win a game this year?

Bentleigh - Glen Eira, Werribee, Willi
Willi - Werribee, Banyule, Bentleigh
Werribee - Willi, Bentleigh, Aquinas
Salesian - Banyule, St John's, St Leo's
St John's - South M, Salesians, Banyule

It's all about Aquinas this year. Speak to anyone form the club and they'll happily tell you how well they rate their chances.

Stop worrying about D3 graduates and look at the proven contenders. It took 20+ goals to beat the Tigers who have had a massive pre season.

Salesian - unless they can beat St.Johns cos they def wont beat Banyule or StLeos...

Are you saying that they dont have much of a defence or they have a great offence? 'offence wins games, defence wins premierships'

Time to top up the bank balance,

Jono, $50 please on Bentleigh @$1.85 if, as you have speculated Shooter kicks 8 goals then Glen Eira are in deep poo. Don't let me down Chris!

$50 on Werribee@$2.05 who you actually picked to win the game, boys, get on, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

I'll take St leo's @$2.70 for the win, I mean what the hell, Jono reckons there will only be a 2 goal diff in the end. $25.

South are a bit short at $1.33, lost by 20 goals to St Johns in 2005...... Oh! what the hell. I'll back my boys in and whack $25 on the 1 and a third.

Last game, I've got no idea, seems to be the only one Jono thought about when pricing the games. Banyule @ $1.50 only cause they beat Werribee at home. $10

So Jono, I was going to put all 5 games into a multi but I'll wait until you show yourself before the real fun begins. (i know you read this)

For the tipping, if anyones counting,
St Leos
Bentleigh
Werribee
SMD
Banyule

Reserves?
Aquinas
Glen Eira
Werribee
SMD - Go Bloods!
Salesian

I'm saying they have a great offence and it took a big score to knock them off. Scoreline suggests a pretty free flowing style of game, but I'm assuming that they can lock teams down if required. Were perhaps a little unprepared to be defensive in R1. Definitely a team to watch.

Re: Aquinas - with John Hunt, they can't lose. #16 = gun. www.johnhuntfanclub.com.au

Bentleigh got up by 9 Points in a thriller against Glen Eira....
Close game all day, and the Dees kicked two goals in the dying moments of the game to get up....Great victory.
Shooter kicked 8 or 9 I think.....with Robbo being inspirational all day...

First of all, kudos must be given to D2 scribe Jono Healy on some fine tipping on the week end.

Jono tipped C. Sharp (Bentleigh) to kick 8 and shooter didn't let him or the punters down.
Jono tipped Werribee by a point. Bingo, Bongo, Bango, right again.
Jono tipped Aquinas by 12 points, margin 15, close enough!
Jono tipped SMD to win (can't remember the margin he tipped). Correct.
Jono tipped Banyule to win (can't remember the margin he tipped). Right again.

Thanks also must go to Jono for his very generous odds as I have taken some coin from him again.

Totals this week = Harper - $243.25 Jono Healy - $25

Season = Harper - $398.25 Jono Healy - $25

For the record I tipped 5/5 in the reserves.

well done to all the winners on Saturday and I look forward to Jono's article this week.

All I can say is: I TIPPED THIS !!!!!!

My spies tell me SMD have a few who will miss the week, any truth to the rumours.

You must be close to the inner sactum of the districts you know a whole hell of a lot about them. Any chance of revealing your identity.

Its still monday so noone has been ruled out yet, but yes there are a couple with clouds over there heads. But there should be at least one big in this week with our second leading goal kicker of last year playing his first game for the year.
