Good point, lets setup some goal posts on the ashphalt in the safeway carpark and have our matches there. Better yet, lets cover ashphalt with blackberry bushes and play on those.

You can judge my toughness for yourself when we meet this year. My gender should be fairly immediately obvious.
I spent a week walking around with my jeans getting stuck to a long patch of raw, skinless flesh after sliding on those pitches, and I wouldn't want that to happen every week of the season. If that means some sexist keyboard warrior reckons I'm soft then so be it.

Gday lads and ladies, If anyone would like a practice match against Power House on either the weekend of March 21 or March 28, please PM me.

We only have access to a temporary ground (no goalposts or lines) so an away venue is preferred. Vegemite.
 
I hear that St Johns are playing Waverley Blues (EFL Div 2) in a practice match on the 28th!! Hope the St Johns boys have their drawstrings on their shorts done up tight....Big day in defence!!!
 
Dont want to scare any opposing teams but i have it on good authority that the BIG DUKE, Garrett Schembri has been training down at SMS. Now im not too sure how true this is but i was also told he is looking as menacing as ever...

The only ones who should be concerned are the Reserves players from the opposition clubs...

Word from the Hawks is that they just signed the big 6'8" ruckman who came 2nd in the D3 B&F (playing 9 games) two years ago. The word is he forgo big offers from Keilor & Doncaster to play with his mates. Massive pick up by the Hawks.
 
My club is trying to arrange a last minute practice match with St Mary's due to both clubs previously arranged games falling through.

Not having much of an idea of the strength of VAFA footy I was hoping someone here could give me an idea of how D3 would compare to other leagues. EFL for example.

We look forward to it!! It hard to judge, I have played both EFL and now VAFA. DIV 4 Vs D3..... I would expect the stadard to be pretty even.
 
gday all!!

havent been around for 3 weeks but i see were all gearing up for the football season judging from whats been bandied around in here. we at bentleigh have forest hill at phillip island on sunday for our first hitout so itll be great to get the season underway & see where were at currently.

does every other club being spoken about in here get underway this weekend also??

SMS have Neerim South at Neerim on Saturday. Staying down there for the night after the game. Looking forward to it!
