AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
firstly, thanks for the compliment.
secondly, **laugh** just checked with wiktionary dee three & thats the word i was after... we are "capable of being imitated or copied" .
i hope i havent insulted your intellect too much, brother!!
righto enough of the spell checks, lets get back to footy. who's looking the goods?
Sounds like bentleigh a re still the ones to beat. Saw SMS and have picked up a couple of handy recruits but they needed to after last year and I think they maybe still battling out for a finals spot rather than fitting for the top with bentleigh. Your thoughts fellow posters?
Guru out!
IMO we at Bentleigh will be top 3 for sure, but still have it all before them to grab the promotion. Long gone is all the "cockiness" from a few last year & still have a lot of work to do. This week against Eltham will judge where we're at with I think a full strength team in.
Teams I think we will be watching out for this year are: Hawthorn, Elsternwick & SMS (all will have great home ground advantage.) Monash is an unknown quantity for mine. Apologies to others as its just my opinion.
Dee.. Oh dee. This really is disappointing. look at the context and try both meanings. Which one makes sense? Its not gonna be "we will welcome you like every one else."

I heard from an inside source that the Wicks have been struggling for numbers at their two practice matches and have only been able to manage 6 and 5qtr games respectively.
Must be a concern for the top brass down there when compared to Bentleigh's 430 and SMS's 225 at each session.
In other news, I've heard theres been another big signing to a D3 club with a B grade senior wingman/forward agreeing to play at a club, as a responsible journalist only interested in printing the facts though, I will try to confirm this before I release details
Hmm, well lets have everyone name their ladder by round 9 :
1. Bentleigh (just because of pure bias)
2. SMS (have recruited well)
3. Hawthorn (danger team IMO - new coach, home ground advantage, great CHF)
4. Elsternwick (despite not having No. 1 ground, always go well with recruiting
---------
5. St Johns (Tough side from Doveton town may push a grab top 4 spot)
6. Monash (D3 stayer until the year 2025)
7. SFX (promoted side new to comp, unknown qty will push top sides)
8. Powerhouse (haven't heard anything about them other than a supposedly paid FF)
9. UHS-UV OB (Sorry Nikko you''ll be an absolute gun in D4 in 2010, happy to be proven wrong)
10. West Brunswick (Promoted side, have lost up to 6 players from GF side)

Not a bad prediction, though i reckon Elsternwick are too old and wont make finals. Powerhouse will though. We're not even going to bother playing this year as benteigh and sms have already made the finals and the Howler Monkeys at the Zoo are feeling neglected of late.

WB lost 6 premiership players ??
FlashBang despite what you were saying at Training Eltham is north-east, not near Broadie. New boots are working a treat though

Hi All, the gurus ladder for the year
bentleigh, hawthorn, st johns, sms, the wicks, WB, uhs, sfx, monash and the house.
You heard it hear first. Please note if 'Lambflaps' is fit and happy with the change rooms at powerhouse, this could see them rise to the number 1 spot.

Well get this Guru....i`m am imposter. But lets all be honest so are SMScum.
Don`t play at house but SMS ala st marys scum just get under my skin. This year there still 1 grade higher than they should be..... Don`t be arrogant untill u earn promotion.... Your side would have to be up there with the most demoted side of the last few years. Looking forward to all SMScum taking the lure yet again.
So what the article is saying that they have lost 6 players, but it's not the full list of departures?? So there's more, or are these covered by the the "10+ players & handy inclusions" posted by LG6317?
