I'm in Roostertalk....good idea mate. Bit of a D4 forum comp - nice one.

Someone told me that Eley Park were training on Scotch's grounds? Just a rumor? It doesn't make sense as they say their own ground is perfect.

Doubtful, scotch dont like letting AFL clubs train there doubt they would let a D4 club on it, whether Eley have a ground or not, BTW is anyone allowed on their grounds to Train yet, alternately when are you allowed back on your grounds?

I'm told that Eley Park's Coach or Committee member is a teacher there...

Lyndale Football Club in Southern League division 2 are seeking a practice match on either the 29th March or the 5th April. For more information please PM.

Phantom, Eley Parks Senior Coach is a Teacher at scotch, so yes they have been training there. And as for other clubs being able to use there ground, as I have said before SFX have been on since Day 1 of pre season.

Just setting up the rules for my tipping comp,

Should you be able to pick a draw, and how many points should tipping a draw be worth?

Rooster

Bookies generally give about 50-1 the draw. Therefore, with odds on a head to head evenly matched roughly 1.85 either side and a correct tip being worth 1 - about 27 points for a draw is fair.....

Though it seems a little complicated Rooster....maybe ppl shouldn't be tipping a draw:D:D

Played cricket over at Elgar Park on the weekend. Boy, the clubhouse end of the BHN field is looking very rough. We didn't play out there last season... has it improved since then?

Our clubbies played a practice match there last year and it was dangerous

The ground closest to Elgar or the far one? The far one is as rough as guts. BHN will be playing on the ground closest to Elgar road, 2/3 of the ground has a good covering of cooch.

The far one is the one we last played on two years ago. It was fine then, like all of the grounds before last summer. I didn't check out the closer one, but from a distance it looked a fair bit better. Good stuff.

i reckon the most dangerous ground that i played on last year was Nth Brunnie...

why dont any of the cricket pitches get covered?

Go Sharks...

You've obviously never played on Elsternwick's home ground The worst I have ever seen (that was in 2005).

The cricket pitch isn't a concrete one - its an astro turf style - I wouldn't say its any more dangerous than how all the grounds were last year in terms of hardness.

You were more likely to do your knee twisting in the outrageous pile of sand that made up the centre square on the ground you guys played on.

Easily the worst ground.
