I wouldnt of thought it was a dog act...as already mentioned players leave clubs at any level for their own reasons. Whether it is because they are unhappy, moving to play with mates, or want to play somewhere closer to home, they all have a reason. Knowing Phipps throughout the past year at Syndal, it was clear that he was there to play with a mate and enjoyed playing under Manny and as those reasons have left the club, so if Phipps is unhappy then so be it. As I understand at least Phipps was man enough to have a civil discussion with the new coaches at Syndal off his own back rather then just walking out on the club. If the issue is that he has moved to a club in the same division, people do that all the time. Clearly he has the talent and ability to play at a higher level but chooses to play where coin is not an issue because he purely enjoys his footy. If Kew are the team that he decides will foster his enjoyment, then I dont see it as a dog act.
Its D4 footy, a bit of fun, not the be all and end all....
Well put U/12 Superstar
Manny

*I agree to a degree, but not all club commitees think the same "new way of thinking" ranging from clubies all the way to A section*

The two blokes from Lilydale can play - 1st Divison EFL.
Sounds fairly good about the Lilydale pick ups, but I hear a rumour that a certain equal D4 B&F winner who was ineligable to win win due to suspension is comfortable with his new life style living close to the CBD and will not be returning to the mountains for 2009.
I'm of the understanding that he will be playing with a local club and just so happens that RC is very much a neighbour of this giant ruckman.

How are everyones grounds looking? Anyone cracked out the footy boots yet?
Last time I played against Chadstone (Syndal) the reserves runner was sent to deliver a message from the reserves coach to their forward with the instructions of "make sure he leaves the ground on a stretcher" when reffering to one of our players.
I hope these kind of stupid comments and actions are not going to be a common game plan for the new senior coach for next year
North Brunswick moves to Fleming Park - Albert St Brunswick East - tonight.
We will be training and playing at Fleming Park until our new clubrooms and changerooms are built.

Just down the road Ozza! What's the surface like? Looked ordinary on google maps.
Kew people, please confirm:
West Coburg Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) (KEW AFC) Haddad, Pierre Pending 10/03/09
Is this the same Haddad that used to play for Northcote Park in the DVFL in early 2000's?
It's a different Pierre. I think the other one is still down at Northcote Park.

Like all grounds at the moment its a bit patchy - but the surface isn't hard like Allard has been - so by the time our first home game comes around (Round 6) it will be in good nick I'd suggest. Its a bit longer and a bit wider than Allard.
Really, 2 mil? NB will go from having the worst rooms to the best. Stuff like that benefits all of D4, so good on them!
