43 degree days aren't the norm. For the first and only time I will have to agree with Ruck Machine.
wasnt that bad? good onya hero was stinking bloody hot especially when we are playing a winter sport. But in saying that is always good to be able to push the body in all conditions

Albert Park, Mt Lilydale, Kew

I wouldn't be surpirsed to see one of the relegated teams come on strong. Not sure which one though? Either could easily get a bunch of new young players in any season. Also... Eley Park was looking strong at the end of last season after a slow start.

South Mornington have picked up some handy experienced recruits and this will help there young side which finished middle ladder last year.

Very politically correct there Waz. To early to make any valid ladder predictions.

How are the grounds holding up after the heat wave?

Drongo, A bit tough on Box Hill North there???(but it is only a prediction) There a better team than 11th though. I think the premiers will be either Kew (They will be spewin about going out in straight sets) or AP (Were very impressive, until we got to em.....:D), from last years form.

Smokies, The neighbours, BHN (If big Cam can fire!!!) and Eley Park (The 2 Viola Bro's rip it up)

Just not sure about Mt Lilydale?????

Who are the teams to watch out for this year???

well on last years form obviously A.Park finished the best above kew and Mt.Lilydale, with B.H.nth and Rich.C also Bulleen very much in the mix on there days!

Hopfully all clubs unmentioned will recruit some handy players and even up D4 a little.

The new teams have to be shown respect coming into this division. With West.B, S.F.X, Kew showing last year why new teams are the biggest threat to a FLAG. They dominated the top three spots for 99% of the year.
Relegation or promotion can usually bring more numbers to a club as the taste of success is in the air!

Way to early for a prediction of any sorts, but wait till a couple of 'praccy matches' and we should have a better idea.

As for Practice matches......anyone want to let us know who your club plans to prepare against?

AP have 2 Practice matches scheduled vs Powerhouse and Bendigo YCW .

Mt Lilydale have organised 2 games vs Chirnside Park and Yarra Glen.

Due to the EFL D3 & 4 seasons starting April 4, the Chirnside game is off. Now playing Eley Park (April 4th) at MT Lilydale & Yarra Glen (March 22) at either YG or Alexandra.

What league is Chirnside Park in these days? We played them in a VAFA grand final a long long time ago I believe.

BHN are holding a bushfire appeal night this Friday (13th).

All food and grog has been donated, so all funds going directly to the appeal.

A night for 2 at Clarion hotel (Canterbury Rd) to be raffled.

7.00pm start at the Elgar Park clubrooms.
