13 games - 9 goals (admittedly 7 in one game) says nothing too much to be worried about.
He's improved a bit has he?
maybe hes been playing in the back flank IFF?
Was just reading the Kinsella thread and it got me thinking that D4 doesn't have any dirty teams or dirty players anymore (I can't think of any).
I wonder how Point Cook are going to handle the VAFA style of play considering they have plenty of players from 'tougher' leagues?
I think you will find we have no Dirty Player policy at P.C. You will find yourself out the door before you even play a game. We are after a good reputation as a side who will play hard and fair then stick around and have a couple beers afterwards with the opposition. Thats what i will be strong on.
I think we all like a free flowing game without having to worry about some thug trying to hit you !! So its good to hear their gone.
I`m sure the VAFA Umpires will be the hardest to adjust too !
I believe you`ll find the players Tough But fair at P.C
BigWaz is there many players/supporters who have been around the Club from back in the late 80`s ??
There are a few guys from our glory years still hanging around... at least at the Past Players luncheons anyway
Hey guys, i was wondering what the standard of D4 is compared to other leagues in the area?

Well as for the two leagues in my general area....
The top 2-3 clubs in D4 vafa would play finals in D4 EFL and be competitive in D3, Dominate YVMDFL Divi 2 and most likely play finals in Divi 1.
Did you notice Craig Horne cleared by Kew Amateurs??
The Eye
Way of the mark MNIs.....Most YVMDFL Divi 2 sides would beat VAFA D4 and even the best D4 sides wouldn't be good enough to play finals in D4 EFL
Mt.Lilydale played practice matches against both D4 EFL and D2 YVMDFL last season. We smashed Yarra Glen(D2 YVMDFL) by 25+ goals and lost to Chirnside Park (D4 EFL) by 7 goals.
So I'd have to say that 'My Name Is' is pretty spot on considering Chirnside won the D4 G.F and that Olinda Creek who won the D2 G.F only beat Yarra Glen by 15 goals.
Does this make sense? Gee I'm confusing myself now!
ok - i'll sort this out for you all. the best club 18 sides would dominate D4. D4 is a crap grade. as is club 18. obviously. practice match results count for so little. if you are under the impression that D4 (sorry division 4) is a good standard then think again. there are good footballers yes, but its the next dozen or so in the firsts at most D4 clubs are average footballers (at best). add to this the softness of amateur football (D4 being the softest, believe me i know) it all equates to a low and sometimes embarrassing standard (did anyone else see the finals last year). but those practice match results you say - yeah yeah yeah - i've played in EFL and YMDFVL and i promise Division 4 amateurs gets no where near it. so accept the fact you play in the worst suburban division in Melbourne town. and try to dominate it. that should not be a big ask.

hey jim - we just knocked off the cats. can't see the mighty tigers losing another match for the year.
Wonder if any of the other Super Suburban Leagues would have 72 Senior Teams & 7 Divisions? Most of them are falling apart! - What do you expect Murgatroid?
Ummm Richmond Supporter?
