I feel the same way and we drafted for need regarding a top run stopper and that's what we got. Our D was torched against the run all season and Smith was best available come our pick. He can still disrupt the QB but it wont be his role on D and RBs will go nowhere near him as he just stuffs early down plays with run stops.

I didn’t want a TE in the first round anyway and we can get one tomorrow if need be. 👌
 
I remember that the Travis Frederick and Zack Martin weren't well received by fans at the time. That's why they are fans, not recruiters I guess.

Parsons also had haters when he was drafted! Our record with 1st round picks has been decent lately and i am trusting Micah and Dan to know more than nuffies on message boards!

Tomorrow worries me and we need to get a good solid player in the 2nd and 3rd.

I like the pick and he will be our No.1 TE from the get go.

Excellent blocker and good hands with great size. Scouting reports are so hit and miss and just depends which one you want read!

Duece Vaughn, RB from Kansas State. His dad, Chris, is the teams Assistant Director for scouting…so he got to give him the good news.



By all reports everything was done professionally in the way the team scouted Vaughn, whenever his name came up in meetings he would remove himself from the room to eliminate any conflict of interest.

Like:
  • Aaron Rodgers early in the season, hopefully takes some time for him to click in the new offense.
  • Actually don't mind the two west coast games in a row, followed by the bye. Reckon they might stay over in Oxnard for the week in between the two games.
  • The late November stretch - away to Carolina, followed by three straight home games with a mini bye before the Philly game. Will be a welcome little block before a tough finish to the season
  • only one noon game!! Especially good time zone wise for me over here in WA

Dislike:
  • The last four games...away to Buffalo & Washington in Dec/Jan (buuuurrrrrr)
  • Opening against New York, lame...I know they haven't gone back to it for a few years, but it's still pretty stale.
 
Good off season so far picking up Cook and Gilmore,not over paying Diggs and looking back Daks contract seems decent.

Hopefully we don't break the bank keeping Micah next year. Happy to give Zach a little boost if there is a few crumbs left
 
its a smart move, Dak is signed thru to 2024, and if it doesn't work out we can give Lance a "prove it" year in 2025 a bit like what the packers
have done with Love this year

Dak just lost a lot of leverage with any possible contract extension that he automatically has been getting, this could free up some cash for Ceedee and Micah
