The weird part for me is he fought in court to not release them which then saw him forced to pay legal costs by the court. Why not state you don't have them immediately?

Great revisionist history lesson. He crippled the services in the state for his precious surplus that the state is still paying the price for. There's a reason we have a shortage of Nurses and Teachers and those gaps that need to be filled take decades once you wipe away years of progress. He's legacy starts and ends with Fed square and CityLink.

That was only way to fix the issues was it? It gave him an excuse to implement his ideology under the guise of fixing the mess. Had no interest in the ramifications of those decisions either he shutdown any sort of backlash around anything he did. He was far more authoritarian than Dan ever was. Everyone in in his own party was terrified of him

Sitting behind a computer all day doing graphs. Few years at uni and voila your in a well paying job. Bit rich for people to complain about anyone in the construction industry who are actually building things with their bare hands.
There are different degrees of white collar workers. The ones who dont need skills dont get paid much. Those who just draw graphs are either first year out of uni grads or people working from india on below minimum wage.
The ones that do get paid well tend to need skills.

Skills for a specific area of expertise yes. Which is what they study at Uni. There's plenty of white collar jobs where nobody actually knows what the job actually is even if they tell you. Is it critical or essential? Dunno, does it take in big money? Quite frequently yes. It's analytical skills required for a very specific role but that doesn't make it more essential or critical than construction. There's a reason pretty much every white collar worker WFH during Covid.

Another victory lap for Dan!
How must the people of Glasgow feel? They will host the 2026 Commonwealth Games and Victorian taxpayers will foot 75% of the bill with the proceeds coming out of the penalty paid by Dan to cancel the contract. This is not how the state government wanted this saga to pan out, and in an election year!

Would it be fair to say that Jacinta Allen has been set up to fail by Daniel Andrews? Because ever since Andrews retired, Labor's poll numbers has nose-dived dramatically, and the only saving grace for Allen is that the Coalition is nowhere near electable as they once were.
