The window of opportunity in a career is greater than it's been in the past. There's time for a second or third wind in a career if you play your cards right, even for a 34yo. Ricciardo's record stacks up well even compared to Alonso.
I have been watching a few of Dan the man's wins recently and his 2018 Chinese Grand Prix win was as good as anything Alonso has ever done. Age is not an issue, he could go another 5 or 6 years easily.
It's been great and some of his winning drives have been outstanding, Danny Ric is one of the best drivers on the grid, if Checo keeps failing to get to QF3 they will put Danny Boy back in the main car in 2024. Ricciardo is a winner and an outstanding driver.

Yeah I’m hoping he doesn’t end last or miles off his teammate this weekend. Apparently he was pretty fragile mentally when he rolled up at RB after his mclaren stint.

Isn’t this why he was put into AT to start with?
To question, to probe, to understand why the car is so inconsistent.
It’s also elevated Yuki to the next level, which is a great thing but also an indictment on him as to why he has been cruising until now.
I think all this is a great thing for all parties involved.
I don’t expect much respect from this board on this achievement, but well done Dan. You’ve been an inspiration to a generation of drivers and have always celebrated or commiserated with a smile on your face.
Hope to see you continue and would love to see one more shoey!
He's been great for the sport, F1 needs personalities and 250 GPs is a mighty effort. He's doing well recently and it's quite possible they could catch Aston Martin for 5th in the constructors? With Yuki's recent verbal slip up, Danny Ric still has that level head on his shoulders and it would be unwise for the team to give him the boot after the summer break. If they do, a couple of teams would be mad to over look him in 2025.
Life after F1 won’t be to bad for our Dan.
