Not sure if you guys have noticed how utterly terrible we have been for the last few years.

Peak Modra would struggle in our forward line, given the lack of ball that goes there.
Not true, put the ball up high and in his vicinity and Modra would have sat on someones head and taken the mark anyway.
Godra!!!!

High potential forward struggles for impact often in the worst performing team in living memory with no forward line coach and the worst delivery known to the game, less than 12 months after a number of impacting performances at AFL level, despite being about 30 games behind the experience that he should have at this point in his career due to inept selection.

Bigfooty board: never shown anything, no good.

That's the key point for me and why I am not judging him to harshly, he's been in and out of the side like a yoyo and it does nothing for development.

Big Fog fan but there is a reason he is putting in the hard yards now, he obviously wasn't in the best shape.

Now with a decent forward line coach, the only thing missing is opportunities and whilst I love Tex, Fog has to be given priority, even if it means Tex plays SANFL.

Actually there is one more thing missing, some decent delivery. Hopefully we draft to address that plus keep persisting with Milera in the middle or wing, we need decent delivery to our forwards. Poor Tex whilst he is past it now, the delivery to him has been deplorable, how he keeps his cool is testament to him.

2020 was a disappointing year for him. Reckon the covid interruption and shoulder injury affected him a lot. I'm still confident he will be a good player but he wouldn't want to waste another year.

Obviously all depends on his preseason. Bit of luck with injury and some fast ball movement wouldn't hurt though.

In one game last year we had Frampton, Himmelberg and Fogarty as our tall forwards. Coached by Ben Hart.

And some people wondered why Fogarty struggled

If they wanted us to get excited about Fog, they should show him dropping a few kilos and covering the ground better. His upper body strength is not what's holding him back as a footballer. We already know he's built like a brick shithouse.
Looks like he has dropped his puppy fat

The plan has always been for Fog to be able to play through the midfield. 2021 looks to be the year.
Not sure if 2021 is the year for that but long term plan has certainly been to playing him through the midfield. He has the potential to be an absolute force in there but a lot of that depends on his tank.

He has been tried in the midfield even in his earlier years, in small patches. I think it will be more of the same with forward roles and patches in the midfield. Frankly, I don’t care where he plays as long as he has the tank to involve himself around the ball more, with more game opportunities. With his size and skills, he really does remind me of a young Roo.

Yet Himmelberg and McAdam performed well. Fogarty doesn't need, nor does he probably want, people making excuses. It's on him, and I'm confident he will turn it around.
