Good point. Dont underestimate the negative of recovering/managing an injury like that and the impact it would have had on his confidence.

Especially with his elbow, it wouldnt have surprise me if was restricted in what he could do in regards to weight training to "protect" the elbow and further exacerbating that joint.

It wouldnt surprise me to see Fog stronger physically in 2023 compared to when his form took off this year.

Short term deal = more $ per year. $800k x 2 would be equivalent to around $650k if he was demanding 4 or 5. Back yourself in and cash in on our lack of payable players whilst it lasts. Of course it's not a strategy without risk.

I love the Fog. I always believed he had this in him. I'm stoked for the extension but not at all surprised. By all accounts he loves AFC. Let's hope he can continue his upward trajectory next year. He has the potential for being one of the most exciting KPF's in the AFL.

Fog would have no incentive to sign now for low 4. If he started the year off like he finished he’d have his suitors offering a lot more, dare say he would now already.

Our contract would have to been high enough for Fog to take himself off the market.
