Player Watch Darcy Fogarty - Re-Signed to End of 2031

I think Fogarty has turned a corner to a degree this season. In that he is (or was) contributing in more areas when fit, and looks less completely lost when out of form (which he is).

But that's irrelevant to the REAL discussion: Fogarty's form is patchy at best, but his spot is seemingly secure. So when does Fogarty transition gain membership "Boys club" (tm) in the eyes of this board? Lachlan Murphy, who debuted in the same game as Fogarty, clearly already has entered it. If it's an age thing then Murphy is only a year older. And in raw games played he is only 19 games behind Murphy.

Either way, it should be within the next 12 months. Exciting times for discourse!

Fogarty is a good solid player , similar career trajectory and record to Todd Marshall at this point

I do feel he could / should be better than Todd eventually , so hoping that happens in next few years and he will truly be a weapon

Last year was the key year and turning point , he learnt alot about what he does well when he plays well

If my point was only that he's been impacted by the teams downturn in form, how would considering the time before the downturn be useful?

Hey - I don't hate him. Loved what he did at the beginning of the season. Just want more of that.

You are the one who wants him dropped - which is really odd because you are blaming his poor form on our bad forward entries and the fact the team has gone to shit. What do you think he is gonna gain from playing alongside scrubs in the SANFL.

Walker struggled significantly in the first half, and improved with the teams lift. As did Fogarty.

You spent a entire game actively hate riding one player who is nowhere near the big issue with this team. At some point consider therapy.

Fogarty getting pantsed by Tomlinson in the first half was grim viewing. Second half was okay, had some good touches. Missed a couple of tough shots, which is better than missing easy shots like some of our other forwards.

There’s no hate for Fog - FFS you are dealing with true supporters here, not ones that would be rejected from their own cheer squad. We all want Fog to do well. But you know what?
