My wife got really cranky with me for yelling something like "LET HIM KNOW ABOUT IT FOG! THAT'S RIGHT SON SIT HIM DOWN!!!!"

Sounds like my old man haha. He'd get all worked up when the fights started, then proclaim "That's young Fogarty!" And get really into it.
"Jab his head off, knock the prick out"
Then he'd take a breath and realise Fog isnt being picked on, and laugh at him taking on whoever he wants.
That's why he has to be a future captain for mine, I want him to bring in that aggression and intimidation that the great side like the Hawks and Lions have had in the past.
What I loved though was that with all that aggression, nothing he did crossed the line ethically in my opinion. He roughed people up but nothing was dirty or risking causing serious injury.
Also for the record Dusty is typical faux tough. He likes to think he's a big man but when stuff actually ramps up he'll run scared.

And whacks like that make Richmond players nervous to do it again. It puts perceived pressure on which makes mistakes.
He was only off in his timing by half a second as well, if he'd got there just that fraction earlier it would have just been considered part of the contest.

Absolutely, I have no issues with it. Happy to give a 50 every now and again.
He won't stay an opposition favorite for long with the way he plays.
Each week he takes on a new opposition, that'll be another club whos supporters turn against him.
He isn't in this to be Mr Nice like Eddie.

No not everyone loves Eddie, though its mostly Port supporters that don't.
But I think you'd be hard pressed to find many players more liked by AFL fans in general.

Oh come on. I'm all for talking up The Fog, but to suggest that Dusty is faux tough is absurd. I'm pretty sure he'd go ok.

I remember a young Matthew Lloyd giving Shane Ellen (I think) a fair sledge when he had barely played half a dozen games and I thought, "Who does this kid think he is?"

Wait for sides to realize that the way to get to Dusty is actually to rough him up, guarantee he won't handle it and it'll distract from his game.

Nah. Pretty sure Dusty is an actual thug who is now rich... as a result of him being a disgustingly good footballer. And I'm pretty sure teams would have tried roughing him up but he's just one of those players that is simply unstoppable, no matter what is tried against him.
