We have "gotten away" with our undersized defense but it won't work on a fast track G or in the West against a big, powerful Eagles forward set up.

Lynch will be the icing on the cake IMO, Moore will become a gun CHB. If we get Lynch, keep Moore, flag is ours for the taking in 2019.

No worries. It is interesting though that in the old days it would be 2 weeks for a hammy/groin but then got extended to a 21 day rehab/recovery and longer again today. I’d say that players probably cover a greater distance at higher speeds today compared to the 80’s putting more stress on muscles (along with the increased training loads)

Agreed - and don’t forget there is a greater focus on not destroying guys bodies for life after footy now and their quality of life. If you have met some of those old warriors that pushed through in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s - they can hardly walk or stand with poor rehab on their groins, knees, legs etc. there is often a long term price to be paid for playing with the pain killing injections some of them had which they wouldn’t entertain now.

Moore and Howe could be anything as a half-back marking combo.
Mad to give up on that possibility.

Just need the right combo behind them, which was Dunn and Shazza until recently.

For now, he may need to play deeper because of Dunny's injury, so it makes it hard to show his best. The next 2 months is a big challenge for him, so let's see what he's made of.

Let's hope his body cooperates and he gets the chance to show what he's got down back in a good team, rather than forward in an ordinary one like last year..

I generally see what Bucks said as what is happening. Remember he has played what 3 or 4 games this season. It has happened hundreds of times the player has just wanted to get back on the field and play football and then worry about his contract. Especially now with finals coming up I think Darcy would be more inclined to be focusing on getting injury free and getting on the field to be apart of the finals team and then focus on signing the contract once the season is settled. He has never stated that he wanted to go.

We can't lose this one, we either hang on to Darcy and he becomes one of the great CHB swingmen in the league or we tell Sydney to go make GC happy enough to give us May and we have the best CHB in the land. In truth May is a better age for our demographic because we are ready to go now.

Straight up and down that one! The only indicator I got from it is that Lynch is still in play because once we’re out of that race the offer to Darcy will change, IMO.
