Do you have any sort of proof he’s holding the club to ransom? Or is he trying to get some good football under his belt before re-signing to prove he’s worth what he says he is. It’s funny you mentioned Scharenberg earlier because that is the exact same thing he did with his first two contracts. This is the first time he’s re-signed early in the year.

Hang on a minute... good money all the way through? I’m fairly certain there was an article at the start of the year regarding Moore’s first relatively modest extension, and how the club refused to re-negotiate his contract after he exceeded expectations in his second year. Now I’m not saying that the club were wrong to refuse, but it’s fairly obvious that he hasn’t been getting paid top dollar so far.

As for the same coin as Grundy, none of us know what he’s asking for. Please don’t post stuff like this as if it’s fact. It’s your opinion, which you’re entitled to, no matter how flimsy your reasoning.

We complain about how disloyal and ungrateful he was.

I understand they have every right to do it, I just don't like it.
If Howe or Crisp did it for example, it wouldn't bother me because in my eyes they have earned that right.

It wouldn't just be the player. They would have manager and family in their ears telling them to get as much coin as possible. Most careers are short.

Most likely reason, the view that Pickering would deliver more and less stress for them that with Peter handling the brief.

Peter might simply have determined, that for Darcy’s sake it would be better, that as a father with long term Collingwood connection, he does not get further involved. The ongoing media attraction and all that.

A fathers love is strong. Sometimes seeing the wood from the trees is important. Peter might feel simply, that someone else is better serving his son.

I do get that. Seems fair call.
