It's for anyone who's interested in it.. for all the smarties re
I am not one of them as I posted, still can't see the relevance.

Anyway, I am sure since you will be attending, you will take notes so we all can be well informed.

Don't forget to take a Kit Kat.

How come you confirm it before walsh,s updates and does this mean he be back on the weekend.

Everyone having a crack at Darky over this but why did Moore miss against North was that not hamstring awareness on Moore,s part and Daicos called up with 10 mins to start time.
He played against Richmond and then 2 qtrs against Sydney,He should not play again this season he has missed too much football and losing him during matches has really hurt us.I know he is a talent but really he should be in cotton wool till next season I not sure I want him if we make finals only for him to have an awareness issue and then come off,do any of us want that.
Definately the other hamstring - Bucks confirmed it in post match presser.

Tom Browne apparently providing exclusive news on Darcy's hamstring and contract soon on Talking Footy.

This should be good...

and I take what he says with a Grain of Salt

Great news it’s his ‘good’ leg is now had a hamstring ping.

With our injuries he’ll be needed again this year. Not ideal and it’s a risk but we don’t have a choice.

No way he plays in Perth, but if he can play a VFL final during the bye then plays in first final.

I preface this question with I haven't seen the game yet.
Was that Darcy running off the ground after "he did his hammy"?
If you have tightness isn’t it best to stop playing and hopefully come back in 3 weeks(guessing).
So jogging off may not be a big issue, he knows his body better than anyone. Would love to have him fit for the finals. Lol and I’m a pessimist.

Can you post his report on contract update plse, can't watch.
Cheers
Collingwood confident that Darcy will re-sign soon, and that he potentially strained his hammy at the start of the game but played on.

Club apparently thinking hamstring issues may be related to his back growing and tightening as he himself grows, and thinks a specialised running program (similar to one undertaken by Cyril a few years back) during the off-season will help with the issue.

So as usual Tom gives us NOTHING New when he says he got something

From game day, to Autopsy and then to threads discussing players - we certainly have a bunch of serial offenders whose comments reveal they have NFI.
Yes, we all arnt f**cken heart surgeons and helicopter pilots but we love the club just as much as anyone.

Thank you. This may be the first time the club has publicly indicated a potential source of the problem, and a potential solution. Finally - some light at the end of this dark tunnel?

Goes to show re..

He actually felt a twang in his hammy but played on.. then decided that was it after he kept reaching for it.

Back related hamstring strain.. something like that.

Club puts it down to growing pains.. hasnt matured.

Great to give a young bloke a go as an 18 yr old.. if he tweaks the damn thing a coupla times.. I'd rest him for a good yr or 2. Ensures we get to see him at his best.. sacrifice 1 yr.. for 7 or 8. And the AFL should perhaps allow for more mature age rookie elevations. Some shit like that I reckon re.

Perhaps I have been a lil premature in saying yeah I'd consider a trade for him.. but in hindsight.. I'm still confused as f as to what the hell is really going on to be honest.. do we rely on this prognosis (club mentioning growing pains)or not.. maybe it's the best possible reasoning/solution we can find.

Elliot may have been in a position now where he was playing a consistent number of games had we adopted a strategy like this. We need to be a lot more patient when it comes to some.. let's not push em at a young age.. have them debut when we feel their bodies are mature enough to handle to rigours of AFL.

We might be in the shit a lil for doing it in the immediate future.. but this shit long term may prove to be a big key in achieving success.

It's crazy we have that many on our injury list.. but it's also crazy we've lost that many games we were in up to our eye balls only to see players fall.

Weren’t Buckley’s hamstring woes back-related also? Seems like it’s not uncommon.

My (non-professional) experience is that most chronic hammy issues are back/hip related.

In actual fact it's amazing what can be. A few months ago I had chronic "lower abdominal" pain that had me feeling sick and feeling like I'd been kicked where it hurts........not nice when it goes on for weeks/months. Doctors sent me for CT scans with dye injected into my veins and God knows what else.

I ended up figuring it out for myself that it was all related to tight hips which is related to my scoliosis and posture etc.........

From memory Bucks had hamstring tendon issues & he wasn’t diagnosed correctly. Just treated it as a normal hammy. But it kept recurring. But in fairness they know a bit more about hamstring tendon issues these days.

Gets this week and next week off and wouldn't fly him to Perth. So best case scenario is week 1 of finals or week 2... if we make it.

Best then really to only look at Moore (and Treloar) as live options only if we make it deep into Sept. But question... do we really want to risk those hamstrings in a semi or prelim final?

P.S If the kid's holding out for a 500+k deal, then he's kidding himself

Same issues for me here. My Hammys (and Glutes) often feel really sore/tired which stems from issues with my Back and Hips. I need to keep on top of daily stretches to keep them in check (if I slack off for a couple days it catches up to me big time).
