i know yolla are a proven finals side but i just dont think they have done enough in the recruiting dept as other clubs have and this will effect them i just dont think they will make finals this year i could be wrong . needles is a good player but a poor coach from what i have heard so there wil be a lot of pressure on heathy
You could be right but you are a brave man to not pick them in the 5 I reckon, Heathy will struggle with injury and I bet Wish helps him out !

I think you should swap Yolla and Cuprona and you'd think that would be pretty spot on
Yep would be very surprised if Cuprona were to make it, there will be some form of controversy out ther this year as usual, will misss Freezer massively if he does not play. Browny has improved them but to make the 5 i am not sure, they are tough to beat at Heybridge though !

dont reckon this will happen. yeoman will struggle at wivenhoe in its first year out there. big ground with different wind. has any one heard of there recruits have not heard much about how they will shape up?
How can u say that then say u know nothing about there recrits. Yoaman recruited really well ive heard, Will surprise a few ppl

Welcome ladies and gents( plus all sth burnie supporters) to the 2009 D.f.A season, and what a season it promises to be, the ridgley saints are looking for a hatrick, the somerset roos are hoping to go one better, the queenstown crows are hoping to fill two sides, not to mention the yolla demons who are hoping to prove the early tipping pundits wrong, those afore mentioned sth burnie supporters are banking on a more happy enviroment out at the big w, actually theres another team out at the w this year namely the yeoman french kisses who are looking to launch a more successfull season than the past two, which leaves the hapless dogs out at heybridge and the lean mean fighting machines the mighty natone magpies who are planning on finally ending my misery on this forum by being a finals participant this year.

all in all its shaping up as a great dfa season with hopefully a few new names at the top of the ladder come september. :thumbsu:

did anyone seen the practise matches at the weekend if so how did yolla go on friday night and how did somerset go on saturday i was away in melbourne for the weekend so i would be interested to know:thumbsu:

Good to see you back brother !

I WENT AND WATCHED BOTH GAMES IF YOLLA GOT PUMPED SO DID SOMERSET THIS JUST SHOWS HOW ONE SIDED YOU ARE:thumbsdown:
Yeah I saw a bit of the Somerset-Smithton game, the Roos may struggle with talls if Slappa misses the first four , dont think they kicke a goal for the last quarter and a half but conditions were not that great.Bricka will be handy and may have to go down back where he played some great attacking footy back in the days at Natone, a couple of the Roos turned the ball over by sloppy kicking and big Cody French will be good, noticed Tyson Weller there watching , is he on board with the Roos or not ?I think the Roos will be better for the hit out but we are still a month or more away from the season proper, the forward line looked different without the twin towers up there, Baldy would still ket a kick on crutches he is that good I reckon !

yolla and somerset were not the only teams to suffer a big loss on the weekend guys, friday night cuprona played turnersbeach and lost by 9 goals and on sunday the almost mighty magpies lost to motton preston by 12 goals, fair to say tho that both the dogs and maggies were under manned in their respective games.
The positive thing for the dogs and maggies was cuprona: mustve had almost another team on the bench each quarter which must be a welcome difference from last year for them.
Maggies: had quality players such as big beef eater mitch oliver, cookie, baldy and milo out which will make a big difference to the structure of the side come the proper season
Going on that does that mean that sth, queenie, ridgley and yeoman will fill the top four spots as they didnt suffer a big loss on the weekend :D ;)

Fair call !Cant read in to practice match form too much and some blokes would not have even been on the track at some Clubs due to cricket anyway

.practice matches are just that.PRACTICE MATCHES.a lot of blokes have cricket or other sports still on.others the coaches dont want to play, they save them up for the proper season.practise matches are also just a chance for coaches to have a look at some new guys, check if last years fringe players have improved any and try a few blokes in different positions.

BULLSHIT YOU ARE FULL OF IT I SEEN BOTH GAMES AND IT WAS NOT THAT MUCH NOW YOU ARE LIEING ON YOU GUYS ARE UNREAL

I was there and somersetboy has it pretty close with the score lines and so wynyard should have pumped us Yolla boys we have hardly trained and they are match fit and ready to play in a couple of weeks. only disappointing thing was Yolla didnt have many to come back in and wynyard were missing about 8. Went to Langley and was a good game to watch and yeah smithton ran over somerset in the last but so they should, i am good mates with coombes and he was impressed with the roos and smithton were only missing 2 senior players and spoke to lasty and somerset were missing approx 8.

Are you retarted or just suffer from memory loss? One minute u swear and say im full of shit then when some1 confermed they were the scores you say they are probably right lol. Yolla shouldn't of gotten anywhere near Wynyard they will be a good NTFL side this year, I didnt think Yolla played to bad considering it was there first hitout and seems they are lacking a few quality players this year. Good on them for having a go. I honestly thought that Somerset played well and I went to the game expecting them to get flogged by Smithton who I think would be a better side than Wynyard, They just ran over us in the last quarter and so they should. We still have Hampton, Grey, Williams, Fields, Jones, Tarale, Burgess and maybe Tyson Weller to come back in. So all in all was a good hitout. I couldn't see to many missing from the Yolla side. Riley, Harnett, Heath, Greggo, Nashy, Symes and Hoary all played. Who have you's got to come back in? Not bagging Yolla at all just wondering who you's had out??

Looks like the Roos do in fact have afew to come back in but Yolla have a strong culture and will be thereabouts at finals as usual.I did notice Needle Symes having a bo peep out at Langley on Saturday-is he playing or still injured and does anybody know how the 20|20 went on Sunday at Ridgley for the speedster Benny Hayes ?
