Course I'm only talking about the Darwin, its a Darwin thread. I doubt Natone would get over Ridgley, Ridgley have plenty of depth from the bench in Brad Poulter etc.
brad played alright saturday plus floyd butler had a bit of a dip when he come on.would of kicked 4 or 5 if he had the kicking boots on and also mitch clarke is starting to come along nicely.

Floyd is a pretty good player, roves well. Brad is pretty good really, Micth would only be about 16 wouldn't he? With another 10 kilos he will be star, Floyd and Mitch have the right players to develope them though. If your on the ball hey Des?

Bloody great game to be had this weekend, both Ridgley and Natone have matched up really well over the last couple of years, with the inclusions for both teams this year, makes for an awesome game.

Bloody nugget hugging the goalposts and snagging any scraps that fall his way, and the stiffening of their backline with Benny, and then you've got Matty G and Max and Oliver as well, I can't fu ck ing wait.

Love the challenge, I might have to go to CHF and fill Ado's boots. :D:D:D:p

unbeatable.not sure about that every team is beatable.plus i wouldnt say they are cruising through matches.at the minute they are only playing half games. it will be interesting to see how much natone win by this week as ado king going to queensland, aza butler going to melbourne and still 3 or 4 others out with injury plus like i said the fact ridgley are only stringing half a game of football togehther.natone by 50 points.
I wish they would have this many out when they give our boys a touch up

shows how important somersets big men are in the side slappa first game back dominated the ruck all day gary randall booted 4 jonsey solid down back all day 60 odd point win at queeny is a good effort first time somerset seniors have ever won down there still with 2 good players to come back in stall and kody french
Just wondering if Slapper Matthews is in the Rep side. Clearly the Best ruckman in the comp

Surely this is not the squad?? How can the young Sth Burnie blokes like Clarke, Keene and Dudman etc get a game. They have done nothing yet with their careers! What a joke, the DFA will get pumped if those blokes get a game. League is ran and umpired by jokers and thats being kind!

Interested to hear of opinions of Martin Cooke from Natone, rarely beaten in hit outs. I know he cant kick but would give first use. Should be in squad. Team must be named on reputation.

Yep could get nasty for the DFA, NWFA way stronger comp, have played in both.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion as thats what forums are all about, alway s hard to please everyone but hats off to Couls and Browny for doing it again and I am sure the suads will have a bit more reslove about them after last year.As with selection the original squad had to start somewhere otherwise everyone would then be sooking about no squad, Im sure some players may have pulled out due to injury and or maybe going away on this weekend so the actual make up of the 22 will be a fair bit different from this original squad. Bring on the NWFA i SAY !

TWould i be totally out of line by saying slapper wasnt selected because of couls/ridgely and their past.I dont think i would

I think that may be a bit out of line. You are effectively saying that Couls - and don't forget Browny - are picking squads and leaving guys out because they don't like them. This coulkdn't be further from the truth. Couls has no ill feeling toward Slappa, and I'm sure if he was worthy of a go, he'd get it!

Maybe it's because Slapper has only played 1 or 2 games this year??? He's a good ruckman, but I don't think he's the best going around.....

Has only played one so he may be a bit underdone and the lads are picked regardless of any issues, I watched combined training last night and everyone was getting on and well with each other, you have to put aside everything for the sake of the Darwin, not everyone can play in finals and a rep game is the next best thing, you only want blokes that are fair dinkum and comitted and thats what the DFA will have this year. There is a varience between top and bottom teams and players so it makes sense that the majority of players come from the top sides

What are the numbers like at training Mooch?

26 last night witha few apologies, word is that the make up may vary a fair bit from the actual squads, I was talking to Warren Parker there last night, I saw the lights on and thought Jono and the boys were doing an extra session but it was the DFA boys.I went up and had a beer afterwards but not many came up but it was a Wednesday night-the Ridgley boys were sooking up about missing home and away as they must train Tuesdays and Thursdays !

I was at the game at heybridge on Saturday and from where I was standing near the canteen, it was definitely not a king hit from Jason Payne. I can't comment on the hit from Barry on Nick Cann whether that was a king hit or not.
I think Jason was just sticking up from Canny as he must of seen what went on.
As for umpire Buck Taylor who didn't even see the incident and went to the Tribunal and said it was a king hit is a joke!! He should stick to umpiring reserves!
As for the advocate saying that barry is jasons cousin isnt true and as for the yeoman supporters they were very bad.
Also when the fight was going, yeoman had 2 reserves players and 3 senior interchange players on the ground involved, this was before the game had been called off.

I would do the same thing if i had of been in the same situation when a spectator said that his wife was a ****. There was 3 blokes sitting there when he asked who said it when Hayes owned up to saying it so he punched him.

No excuse. I used to hear supports say lots of things about my girlfriend and mum. They just say it to put you off your game.

Hope this does not happen at Langley this week as I am usually in the caravan can bar and I am too old to jump the fence to join in a brawl !
