Jack riley told me that if he plays footy next season then it will be at the bulldogs, knowing jack from having played with him the past two seasons then i would be very surprised if he went back on his word as he doesnt strike me as that sort.
I know for a fact that jack is on 96 games for the ones at heybridge and will have the opportunity to rack up his hundred which is a fair effort.
In saying all that if rowdy would like to come play at heybridge, then im sure we could find a position for him lol :D
Lol i'm sure you would have him Weasel lol:thumbsu:. What else has been going on at Dogtown?? I've heard a roumor young Josh Barry might be coming out there to play next year?? Wouldn't be a bad pickup for you guys.

Shit I shouldn't have went on holidays. A bit going on by the sounds of things.

Benny would be a great asset at the saints, speed and nous.
Harrow would be going to Yolla if my info is correct.
Hibben to Ridgley or Somerset from what I gather.

Who has started training yet?????
I seen a few of the south boys hard at it.
When we played preseason was about a month before the real stuff and mainly involved cans.
Harrow is great mates with Marcas Mathews and has been Communicating with Jono about coming out to Somerset, From what i've heard he can only play every second week but would still be a handy pickup for any side.
Ben Hayes will be an awsome player for the Saints and Ben Hibben is going to the Robins from what I gather.

Ben Hayes won't make muck difference??? What are you on, He will be a champion player in the Darwin make no mistake about it. I thought you had a bit of a clue when you was talkin about Jack but sayin that about Ben Hayes has just dumbfounded me. He was nowhere near the top 3 in the GF but will still be a very good Darwin player:thumbsu:

I didn't say he isn't a good player just that he wouldn't make a lot of difference in a side that has won the last 2 premierships - a team that is already full of talented players which shows winning the last 2 flags. If they lose players then that would obviously make a difference. He would of been Burnie's top 6 or 7 player in the grand final. Have I got a clue now? :thumbsu:

I saw in yesterdays paper that the dogs were having a training session and family day out there today. Is Brownie thinkin about putting the dogs in the NTFL or the statewide next year to be training this early? :p

I reckon it'll be like getting blood out of a stone to get Rowdy to play at the kennel - as what I have heard he's not even sure if he is playing in 09 anyway :( Would be a handy pickup if Brownie could lure him to the dogs!

You have just a little clue lol, Heard today that Mouse and Azza ain't the most popular people in Ridgley and that they won't play for the Saint's in 2009, Sounds like Ben Hayes and Kurt Young will be handy pickups now. Also heard that Barnesy is definatly playing in 2009 due to a terrible spring carnival he needs the match payments. Also heard that Timmy Mac showed his face at the Somerset clubrooms today and is keen to play (hope that one is true).

yeah great pick up as long as he can play loose on half back!

are you serious only plays for himself !
All I stated is that he would be a handy pickup for the dogs. Kicked 5 against them this year when Baldy didn't play. Is a handy forward just didn't get much of a go at the Roos this year due to our awsome forward line. Would be a good FP or HF for the Dogs:thumbsu:

There is nothin wrong with being keen and seeing what you have early is there? Why bag a struggling club for trying to improve and put in a good structure for 2009?? Good on Weasel I say. It's good to see he is having a go and trying to improve and get the club moving forward:thumbsu:

Yep, heard on the grapevine they had 10 training which is good this early, notice Yeoman starting this week, Somerset to start shortly although it will be geared individually towards player requirements ie midfielders run more, forwards less running and more work on structures and pot shots at goal, backs, accountability and spoiling, hard all this from the forward coach, Rohan Baldock !

So Baldy is infact staying then Mooch?? What does Chalky think about Baldy being Forward coach?? I heard that the leadership group got in and had a vote to see who would be captain next year and they voted in Chalky? Is there any truth in this?

Would love to see Chalky as captain in 09 - thoroughly deserves it! Might have to rock up to training occasionally though, not sure how that would go:thumbsu:

Very true apparently, yes, the group want him to captain as he is a very good tosser, has won 7 on the trot at Stowport, and he is actually going to train this year and not drink VB cans at work before training, it will help him run and he wont be breathing all over the other players-go Roos

Its actually a dual Coaching role between Chalky and Baldy, it worked allright last year from what I saw from the sidelines-go Roos

well moocher the apprentice certainly outshone the master last season but if chalky gets fit he might give baldy a run for his money this season or he could be playing at 12 instead of 2 . serious but chalky would be a good captain if dave frazer n does not play this season:thumbsu:

loose or not i think brownie would be pretty pumped to have josh out there, but realistically i cant see it happening. :(

for his football and maybe learning to be more accountable he would actually find the dogs to be to his benefit in my opinion.
the dogs played some pretty good football in 08 believe it or not, they just didnt have the personel to bridge that gap between the top sides and themselves, they constantly broke down across half forward in 08 as they pretty well much had the ball as much as the opposition each week and looked good running the ball out of the backline but as i stated they broke down at chf something shocking.
maybe josh would slot in very well either as a running hbf or even as a forward, the dogs by picking up braslin and radford have ceretainly started to fill those holes.;)

mouse has been 1 of the most unpopular blokes up there for a lot of years champ.doesnt show much respect.neither of them would leave just because a few people dont like them though.but anyway know 1 of them is 100% playing at channel and the other is thinking about it.

rubbish

i believe josh barry has resigned with the roos for next season so going to another darwin club would be out of the question as talking to committee members all the young players from last year are contracted and will not be released. :D

does anyone know if yollla has a coach yet and is it true jake is retiring as president? also while on yolla harnett and heath not playing next year!
but i did hear the stretton boys returning to the dees . and doug frankcombe looking at the coaching position.
