Bomber Thompson did himself no favours tonight on 360.

When asked who he reported to in 2012, he answers 'no one'. Then after a small pause, suggests he's only kidding. Showing little care for the situation.
He then can't actually answer the question with any certainty that it was Hamilton or Corcoran that he answered to.

If there was a time to not show smugness it was now. Also, it wasn't that bright to admit that he didn't attend the press conference, nor found the time to read the entire report, yet claim that it was spot on.

He then follows up with a comment about how there needs to be some sort of uniform information available to all players, so they know what substances they can and can't take. Oh, the irony.

I'm sure ASADA and WADA will be looking into some sort of 'code' that players can rely on.:rolleyes:

I saw it as well, the comment about some sort of info for the players re substances... Well heeelllooooo

Very arrogant

What's ironic about that? Bomber basically confirmed what was stated in the report - breakdown in communication and hierarchy. Why would you even bring this up, if not to troll?

Haven't seen you getting stuck into Motlop ;)

If we had any real concerns, Bomber may appear more worried. No case to answer? Then give the man a sandwich, let him carry on with his life and the business of winning games of footy.

seriously what did you expect?

evens was asked why the players werent interviewed by ziggy and his response was "there was some confusion as to whether or not they could be"

i mean, ****ing hell, even after this mess, theyre still making the same basic mistakes. it seems there is very little communication, basic management and investigation going on down at windy hill

they dont seem to have to be prodded much to expose basic failings

Lance, Motlop is not under investigation. Nor is he a senior coach at a club being investigated for doping, who's been placed in front of the media, and had coaching on what he can and can't say.

Bomber was amateurish in his responses tonight.

Why did he apologise, gees what a guy

It's certainly the first time in history where I can ever remember a chairman holding a press conference for an internal investigation and then making a public apology in regards to its contents.

Deeply apologetic...then nothing, no action,

Dysfunctioal boys club

And what will Essendon* cop for being a bunch of cheating druggies?

Denial is not a river in Egypt. You club cheated, attempted to seek an illegal advantage using illegal substances and got caught. If you think that you will just have all your charges swept under the carpet, you are in for a shock.
You might want to read the thread on the top of the page champ

And, perhaps we'll wait to see what prohidited substances were taken.

Yes, the club make mistakes that should not have happened.

If ASADA cleans Essendon and players, will the same stance apply, because as of now, no one has been charged with that, Than, perhaps people are just bought by media perception.

I'm merely saying wait for all the facts to be known.

Oh, and which anti-obesity drug was Tim Watson referring to in that sunrise interview?

That brings up an interesting point. Tim is a club champion, was instrumental in the Thompson/Hird project and is the father of the skipper. He also derives his income from the media. Where does the media end and Essendon start?

What's my view on the whole thing...

Fat Vlad will use ziggys report as a glowing example of what a fantastic club essendon is and drop all charges against them because hird and his good friend Dave Evans, the father of his mentor at AFL hq, are such fantastic fellows.

Fat Vlad will trump up a load of charges against the rest of the comp for being so jealous of that fantastic club Essendon and will award Essendon the 2013 premiership immediately.

WADA will complain to the Australian government who will pull the governments funding from the AFL and next year every Essendon player will come out looking like Ron Coleman.

This report has been carefully reworded to paint Essendon in the best possible light... and the AFL is allowing this to happen.

Well I had to laugh when I heard the internal inquiry was being done by an Essendon fan

Your prolific posting history on 2 separate accounts assures us that you haven't, Snakey. Let it go, mate. You're coming across as slightly obsessed and extremely foolish.
I'm genuinely concerned for your wellbeing moving forward, especially when Hird signs the rumoured upcoming 3 year extension to his coaching contract as a sign of solidarity/ defiance by the club. If that doesn't tip you over the edge I'm sure the flag we win during that time will. :thumbsu:
Some clubs sign coaches extensions on ability to manage and coach.............Just saying.

So you're saying we'll be right? Nice :thumbsu: I agree

We've got Bomber for that, Hirdy is a figure head and more recently a representation of our defiant stance against baseless and heinous accusations. James will learn the trade in good time, he's got plenty of it.

That's Bomber Thompson all over. He is more jokey than arrogant.

Also, where is Bomber in all this. Not on any texts, no conversations being recalled. Every one in the heirarchy at Essendon except Thompson has been given a bullet. Oh, he helped bring Robinson across. But then the trail goes cold.
