Be my guest.

Lyon was garbage in his 'advisory' role which saw us appoint back-to-back terrible coaches.

I hope he never has anything to do with the MFC again.

It seems as though right through the AFL, no one has the balls to put up their hand and say, "I made a mistake". All he keeps saying is, "give him time, give him time."
Lyon appoints a guy who has had no senior coaching experience, in their fragile situation. It's not Neelds fault that he gets offered a job. Who wouldn't take it! Just like Scully, who wouldn't take that kind of coin if it wa offered to them. Don't blame the receipients, blame the brains trust that made the offers!

haha sounds like a lot of offended supporters on here , why dont you worry about your own club being 2-4 or 3-3
Because some of us see this as a bigger issue than wins or losses. It is that kind of attitude that has put Essendon players in the position where they don't know what the fug they've been injected with or what long term effects this may have on their health.

If you are cool with that, good for you.

You'd take a shot from him in the eye is my guess. It's not your fault, you're all the same when it comes to Sir James.
Sure would. The strangest part about it is just how much it bothers opposition supporters, why do you care so much? We couldn't possibly give less f**ks what's going on at Carlton or Norf yet you guys are strangely fixated on the EFC.

Personally, I'd let the players worry about that, since they are directly effected, not any of us talking on some internet forum.

Just read the report
An interesting note to me is it seemed a report not much directed just toward Essendon for much of its entirety, but professional sporting clubs as a whole
Seemed to turn into a lecture of how to run a sporting club about half way through

This is an issue that effects all football followers. I invest my time and money into the competition via my club and I want the competition to have best practice in place for all participants. I don't want the competition I follow to be run roughshod over by dodgy and incompetent fools who think they can fly close to the edge and put players livelihoods and health at risk. As such examples need to be made. There has been gross negligence uncovered at Essendon, and although they have yet to be proven to have broken WADA rules, and they may not, their potentially dangerous incompetence cannot be allowed to be swept under the carpet.

Of course, that much I agree with, and I think Essendon have found serious issues. THeir job from now is to make sure it never happens again.

Do you think any other clubs would be looking at their structures etc now and making sure they are not in the same position, and can make any changes, without having the public/media eye on them?

"whitewash"!

Drink!
Lance,
I admire how you've loyally stuck by your club.
I do.
But I am genuinely, in all serious, really concerned about whatever has been done here... and the fact that no one can say for certain means someone should have lost their job.
I'd say the same thing if it was my club, or my job.
And the fact that it is young men who are being subjected to it - not necessarily people who have a lot of experienc telling people in authority 'no' - that makes it even more concerning for me.
Honestly, it is not just about a chain of corporate command... it's about ensuring that anyone in the club feels empowered to go to the top the second anything is out of line. And knowing that their letters or statements won't somehow be 'lost'... someone should have been fired for 'losing' the doctor's letter. And whoever brought Dank in should have been fired (no due dilligence)... if your report doesn't even say that there was no due dillegnce in hiring shonky people, it's not worth much.

I don't like to see your club, or any club, in this situation... but the whole thing has changed my entire attitude toward football, for the worse. I don't think I'll ever have the kind of unquestioning trust that I used to have in AFL clubs. All because of this drugs saga.

no you dont 90% of you troll this board claiming to know better than the people involved in the investigation when in fact you dont, its quite funny watching essendon supporters get so worked up from oppostion supporters .

The players seem fine with the club if anything it has brought them together , if we get found to be braching the wada code then its time to sink boots in, but in reality most of the posters just are here to troll and get lols

People may go. EFC are waiting for the ASADA findings, as they should be.
Also keep in mind some of the main players are already gone.

The bloodlust on here is ridiculous. Evans stated that he is increasingly confident nothing banned was given to the players.
