I tend to agree. The thing CA got wrong was not using the time to push for penalties of that type to become the standard for ball-tampering, rather than the almost-nothing that is still in place.

You understand nobody else would have endorsed that, right?

Even the likes of Harbhajan Singh didn't think it was that big of a deal; why would the BCCI?

Very underrated by the Aus public, one of the greats of the game. The vitriol I see directed at him doesn't line up with the love his teammates clearly have for him.

The same team mates that kicked him out the group chat and didn't talk to him for 12 months when he was under heat?

.. it'll all come to light shortly

Never cheated, fcd up in your life? Then fair enough. He paid his dues. A year out was harsh. He was remorseful. Champion.
We aren't talking about me, we are discussing Warner. A year out was soft and I have no belief he was actually remorseful. I am sure the book that will be published in a few years will show all that

This is a hearsay article from over 5 years ago. All you have to do is open your eyes and ears to see that his teammates love him.
Yes they quite clearly do.

Fancy thinking that because the bowlers deny knowledge/complicity, that they weren’t part of it.

It may be true they knew nothing, but as if they would own up to it.

A year out was a ridiculous over-punishment.

He should have been banned for five tests, which is already more than every other proven ball tamperer has served previously.

Well it's all over now and i'm glad he got his baggy green cap back, he's one lucky bloke to have been able to finish his career the way he has. IMO the South African fiasco will taint him forever and it was handled poorly from the moment it happened.
I wonder where cricket fans rate him among the all time great openers for Australia?
Will he be remembered along with :
Ponsford
Morris
Lawry
Simpson
Boon
Taylor
Hayden
Langer

Does Warner make the top 10 Australian Openers of all time list?
