The only question I have is why?
Why would Brisbane possibly entertain trading one of their best players who is contracted until the end of 2020 when they're finally looking on the up?
Certainly looking like Langers will go & May might go to DeesDon't want him, would much rather keep Langdon and maybe get May than lose Langdon, not get May and get Beams instead.
Maybe in a years time...
No chance brisbane will want to do business!
Some perspective of what we received for a 26 year old Beams in his prime vs what some are suggesting for a 29 year old Beams in his twilight.
(25 we used on Greenwood, Crisp effectively cost us pick 67, which we also gave to BL)

18 and potentially a pick around 15 next year is the equivalent to pick 4.
Check out Beams performances against the top 8 teams in 2012, he played pivotal roles in wins against them all, probably playing better against the top teams than he played the bottom.Wasn’t Beams usually a disappointment in big matches ie finals?
F**k people here are a little off with the trade. This years first rounder and next years would likely not get the deal done. Pick 18 this year and likely pick 13-18 next year is no where near a satisfactory deal.if we really want beams were going to have likely this years first, next years first and a 3rd rounder might get it done but why would Brisbane accept 2 late 1st rounders, it would be another steal like the last beams trade for us. Beams imo was the best player in the second half of the year so he will not come cheap like some of you believe lol. Langdon and a 2nd founder must be a sick joke

Why would Collingwood waste the little time we have this trade period haggling over a player unlikely to be available for trade?
Thirdly and most importantly why would we want to use the precious little trade currency we have on a midfielder who'll be 29 when next season starts when we have more pressing list needs elsewhere?
Finally I'm surprised we would be interested as I was always under the impression Beams and Buckley didn't exactly see eye to eye, while Beams hasn't exactly enamored himself to the Collingwood faithful in his time with Brisbane has he in regards to reported social media commentary about our club that wasn't overly favourable.
I thought the bridge had been burnt if I'm honest.
The only way I see a possible deal for Beams getting done is if Langdon agrees to join his brother at Fremantle and we send pick 18 to the Dockers also as part of the deal for Neale.
Question is though do we really want to use that currency on Beams?
On a made up scale. We got Pendlebury at 5. We got De Goey at 4. We got Bily Morrison with 17.18 and potentially a pick around 15 next year is the equivalent to pick 4.
Did Brisbane say he's worth 2 first picks?Would love him. But too expensive and Brisbane will be jerks to deal with.
We got one first rounder and a player
Suddenly Beams is now worth 2 first rounders? Pass thanks. We aren't short on mids and we shouldn't ruin the chance to bring onboard quaynor and Kelly
DeGoey 5On a made up scale. We got Pendlebury at 5. We got De Goey at 4. We got Bily Morrison with 17.
Fair enoughDeGoey 5
I just heard a Brisbane list manager say the only way it will happen is a direct swap for Adams or Treleor
