This thread is now becoming completely unhelpful - whatever issues there are between Beams / Club / players, the situation cannot be aided, helped, clarified or resolved by posts here.

An all round "cease fire - cease posting" would provide a bit of clear air in a difficult situation.

Apart from Beams stabilising his personal circumstances, the club needs needs to stabilise itself so there are no further distractions heading into the season.

I can't imagine he's targeted a power pole and by the looks of the car it's not that bad. If he was deliberately trying to hit something the lack of damage shows he's slowed or braked with minimal impact. No one knows and it could have been something like texting while driving.

Lets all just take a deep breath.

There is no point saying anything further about Beams. Everything that can be said has already been said. What we need to know to be certain of his current situation will or cannot not be told. Time to just sit back and wait for an announcement from the club.

Hope he's ok after the crash, not good at all.

But some of the general commentary in this thread and the previous Dayne one ...gee whiz

I'm sorry but if you're going to kill yourself by driving into a pole, your car is going to look a whole lot worse than that. Whoever suggested it was a suicide attempt is full of shit. I have a theory but the do gooders on here will have a cry if I even allude to it.

I wrote this and deleted it as I didn't want the drama, It's out now so will repost it again.

I was told he drove into a pole at a low collision speed, It's believed it was deliberate.

Glad he is ok.

Just looking at photos of the crash scene, single car, head on into a pole, doesn't bode well for the cause of this accident. Hope and thoughts to Beamer and his family...😔

The car is barely damaged here, it's not like he's floored it and gone straight into a pole, more like he lost control due to speed or on the phone and braked then hit the pole.

Sometimes people lack the courage the see the act out. Many will try again and succeed. Some get themselves better.

I'll keep a open mind on what happened.

Anything is possible, but I don't think we need to go from minor car crash to suicide attempt straight away. Far more likely that he was texting/speeding/falling asleep/on drugs ect.

Good news is no one was seriously hurt including any pedestrians.

On a side note is that shitty Kia really daynes car? Doesn't he make like 800k a year?

Funny how so many people know what's going on, we've got a one stop shop on this forum of medicos, police prosecuters, psychiatrsts, psychologists, crash scene investigators, fiction novelists, reporters and I'd say not one person directly knows the bloke becuase if they did they wouldn't be commenting on a public forum like this.

No we shouldn't. Beams was unconscious for ten minutes, so to characterize the crash as minor is something i wouldn't do

Whatever is going on in Beam’s life it’s clear things are not well. With our lack of knowledge about the reasons behind the events of the last 24hrs speculating on it all doesn’t promote any beneficial discussion on Beams. Will will shut this thread down for now until the dust settles. Hopefully we get more definitive news soon and the club and Beams can move forward
