Her message (if she wrote it) makes it clear they had been separated for some time. For all we know, he broke it off with her and got a new girlfriend and she has sour grapes. If so, does he deserve to lose the captaincy?

Whatever happened, its the person that wrote the message that has thrown the kid into the spotlight.

To be honest, I don't think she was thinking clearly and has the right to respond with venom in my opinion.

I don't think the wording confirms that they were separated, I think that her grammar is just confusing (in the heat of the moment the head doesn't operate quite as well as normal). I don't believe that they were separated.

People split up all the time. Sometimes it one person's fault, often both contribute to it. Even when one of the parties plays up, it could mean that he or she is not getting the satisfaction from the relationship that they hoped to at home. I don't know the circumstances here (other that one side of the story) so I can't really make any judgement. Probably should have been kept private, but it does give the "I'm outraged" brigade another thing to be outraged about.

Zorko is a garbage human being. Just because he is captain of the footy side you happen to support doesn't change that and doesn't warrant your defence.

Codswallop. The victim here is a kid being used as a pawn in a public spat. To instantly assume it’s as cut and dry as she’s a pure innocent, and he’s a prize Karmichael Hunt, is being wilfully naive. No one here knows all of what’s transpired until now, and given that, all the judgement is speculative.

Does seem like they had already split and then he hooked up with another girl during their two week break which got her fired up when she discovered it. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. It befuddles me how, in 2018, people are still 'cheating' through text messaging, as well as not making any effort to mask or at least be cryptic in the conversation.
