People must be having each way bets - this was posted in the Superman thread on Monday

It's worth remembering that both of these things can be true. It's highly unlikely that everyone who saw Superman at this screening felt exactly the same way about it. It's also important to note that plenty of much-loved films received negative responses from early screenings, and vice versa. We won't know what to expect until we see it next July.

Oh I know, horses for courses etc :D

I'm kind of more on the negative side of things (burned too many times with high expectations :() But I do hope that I'm surprised come July. Regurgitating my opinion, but I'm kinda of hoping for a Captain America: The First Avenger approach, in that despite Captain America being my favourite Marvel hero - I was not expecting it to be "good" (dislike Chris Evans). Yet it was (and still is) my favourite MCU movie...............and I still dislike Chris Evans lol.

I haven't enjoyed a James Gunn movie thus far, so that's also a concern of mine. But I want to be bamboozled and hope it's good.

And come July, there will be plenty of positive and negative reviews.

There’s a pretty vocal set of Snyderverse tragics actively willing the entire DCU to fail so that the Snyderverse can be reinstated (which is totally delusional).

It’ll be interesting to see if they show up for opening weekend regardless or if they leave a bit of a hole. If the first DCU film is a disaster the DCU will be scrapped pretty quickly you’d think.
