Absolutely would not be rushing Shuey back. Why?

For one, we don't need him. We're last anyway, with little to no chance of beating the undefeated premiers, so it's not like him playing is important. Secondly, he's average. Thirdly, he's only missed one game. Hammy's are generally 2-3 weeks minimum, and that's without his awful history of hamstring injuries.

Does West have to miss a game now he got subbed out? Or was that just brought in for concussion sub outs?

IN: Yeo, Witherden, Rioli, Clark, Williams,

OUT: Rotham, Edwards, Waterman, Florenca, Mountford

Sub: Cripps (Haha i wish, it'll probably be SPS)

Yeo replaces Rotham in defense. Naish gets moved back to a wing, opposite Gaff. Witherden for Edwards. Clark for Florenca (goodbye king)

Williams comes in because we can't play 1 ruck against that bearded flog. Either way, Gawn is going to monster everybody regardless.

Other than that.... It's off to the Winchester on Sunday arvo Boiz

Having a second crack now it appears the Leederville Seven won’t be suspended.

In: Witherden, Yeo, Clark, B.Williams
Out: West (inj), Florenca (released), Edwards, Rotham

Backs: Barrass, Gov, Hurn, Witherden, Duggan, Foley, Jones
Mids: Gaff, Naish, Kelly, Yeo, Redden, Clark
Rucks: Williams, Jamieson
Forwards: Kennedy, Darling, Waterman, Ryan, Cripps, SPS, Winder
Sub: Rotham
Emergency: Dixon, Edwards, Nelson

Witherden for Rotham. The Jones in defence experiment to continue.

Jamieson to get another run, alongside Williams assuming he’s fit. Strnadica might get out of protocols too late. The Edwards in ruck experiment to end ASAP.

Yeo and Clark (if right) straight swaps for West and Florenca. SPS, Winder and even Waterman (wing) can take midfield rotations to cover Yeo.

Guessing Shuey, Rioli, O’Neill will still be out.

Just quietely we are TOTALLY TOTTALLY TOTTALY due another Nesbitt email.

Any day now.

Since his last one we've had

  1. 109 point loss to Richmond at home (as we "bounced back" from our 84 point loss to Port and 63 Point loss to the swans)
  2. 7 Players attending a night club, getting suspended, covid, culture etc etc etc
  3. 75 Point loss to Brisbane.

The question is whether he waits until after the Melbourne game, or if he sends it this week. Got a feeling it'll be this week.

Take it to the Nizzy email thread

Ins: Angry Yeo.

Someone flick his ear all week, call him yo-yo, crap on his car, something!

Yeo in his current state will struggle coming off his 4 possession game v Port ..Hope he’s ready to be chasing Melbourne butts all night ..
I would be tempted to let him find form and fitness in the WAFL ..

Worth noting his “4 possession game” involved him being concussed and subbed out before halftime, I’d have thought.

We don't believe in the "players coming off injury need to find form and fitness in the WAFL" strategy.

Nelson and Witherden both trained this afternoon

Among a group of 15 (not a typo) that did more than stand around hand balling to each other. Even then they were out for less than an hour - 45 minutes would be generous

I’m glad they did more than stand around

They said in the commentary, for whatever it’s worth, that the Eagles sought permission to play a WAFL top up over Dixon as it would have made the team too tall and wasn’t a viable lineup. Surprised the AFL allowed if it that’s the case.

Have to imagine Edwards never gets a run as a ruck again so I think Dixon is every chance to play a forward/ruck role in future.

If we have enough fit/healthy players for a squad, then I'd think Dixon will come in. TBF Edwards made us too tall down back anyway, hence playing him in the ruck and as you say - never again.

Ideally Dixon would come in to rest JK, but that seems more like an away-game choice than a home-game choice - so it would more likely be for Edwards or Waterman.

They must have only just come out of protocols in the last 24 hours or so.

I didn’t watch WC play last time against Brisbane and had a great night, I have no interest in watching the train wreck continue against the Dees, it’s uncompetitive rubbish at the moment
I think I’ll just read about the aftermath.

Play Jamo and if he build on this game, then give him the rest of the season.

Kid would be something special if he was built like Bailey Williams. His ability to compete and scrap for the ball at ground level is amazing. Saw it in glimpses at WAFL level last season and to see it on the weekend was very nice.

Jamieson three years on the list and zero games. First game was at full back as Jack Williams (the forward) rucked. Then Jamieson plays in the ruck (2nd ruck to Jackman HEdwards!) and ... on the basis of one game ... actually looks like he might a ruckman.

Question to be asked ... how come it has taken such extreme circumstances and with NN and BW injured before this guy gets a run in his position?
