My family was a host family for a few players. I had already moved out but was good fun to go round for a bbq or drop in to see "mum".

I try not to hit them up for much info or even talk footy but it's good to get down in the rooms or ticket perks etc.

Yeah I know a few people but honestly I don't talk footy with them much for some reason. Through kind-of relatives I have connections to a very high up Adelaide board member. Mentioned on these forums a fair bit.

Know a few players, only a couple well enough to call over the phone and they'd realise it was me without much explanation. Both current AFC and ex AFC but still playing AFL. Also a mate is mates with a good part of the team but he doesn't really talk footy ever.

I just don't like intruding on working life and step a bit lightly if you know what I mean.
