RICHMOND today delisted accident victim Graham Polak but still has the option of redrafting him as a mature-aged rookie.

As revealed exclusively in the Herald Sun, the Tigers have had to delist Polak before they consider making him a rookie.

It will give rival clubs the chance to swoop on Polak, who made a remarkable recovery after being hit by a tram in late June last year.

The club also confirmed top-20 draft pick Adam Pattison had been delisted after failing to come on as a ruckman or forward.

Also delisted were Nathan Brown, Mark Coughlan, Cleve Hughes, Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls, Kayne Pettifer, Dean Putt and Jarrod Silvester.

Re: Polak, Pattison Delisted Among Others

Just for the air heads in here....because we drafted them, does not mean they are anywhere near AFL standard....comprendre comapdres? Putt ,Patto, Hughes,JON....like WTF were TW and Gm thinking FFS....it can only be one of two things...they either had NFI or they were deliberately sabotaging this club, and getting paid top dollar to do it. And hiding behind the glitz and spin that they both used to fool everyone. We have been taken to the cleaners and unless there any rabbits out the hat party tricks, its going to be a long and dark 2 decades for the tigers...thats how far backwards the last 5 years of nothingness, apart from number 1 and number 2 picks has put us. ;)

I realise I am in the minority here, but I am very pissed that Patto was delisted.

Its been debated to death, and I wouldn't have been to unhappy if he had of stayed however I just don't know how he would have improved our side. He can't ruck and he can't play forward. His only asset his is tank so he can run around pick up a couple of undamaging stats. Would rather find someone with some upside.

I blame Wallace for shafting this kid. Wallace's handling of him was attrocious.

It's all pretty obvious as a clean out though. Our senior team hasn't really been affected. Coburg just had it's list wiped though!!!

Jeez, 11 spare spots on the senior list? Add Nahas and possibly Browne, and we've got 9 senior spots to fill.

With our past recruiting, this makes me somewhat nervous, though it's been pretty good over the last few years - but we've hardly dipped deep into the draft.

Interesting to note that no rookies were upgraded with Silvester being the only change to the rookie list. Means we'll head into the drafts with 4 rookies Nahas, Gourdis, Browne and Gilligan.

good clean out
hughes should head back to SA might get picked up by port they love our rejects
probly get his next 6 v us
K Johnson - ex Capt - didint see '10 adding much to 09-
J Bowden- wish he could have played on the wing his whole career booming great kicks at Richo
M Coughlan - actually wanted to keep him -most injured player ever?
N Brown - so long Browny - sorry about the leg...lucky if we get this class again
G Polak - PICK HIM UP!
A Pattison- always like Patto - all the best!
D Putt- alas poor Putt, I knew him not at all
JON- I assume we owe $millions for the emotional damage being the most maligned player of the modern era has caused this poor fella. wouldve liked to see him given >3 games in a row at some stage before he got moved on, but sheesh, have a friggin protein shake or something!
C Hughes- well a couple of good games..might even come good?
K Pettifer- some great grabs and goals, need the space for prospective champs tho
J Silvester - only big defender weve had for ages, back to the Burgers?
A Raines - welcome to the Brisbane midifeld- have a great career except v us. Kick it to Fev!
J Schultz - see ya Sarge, hope you make as big an impact at Port as you did at Tigerland, dont drink the water!
Wouldve liked to keep Cogs and perhaps Putt, and....almost maybee Bowden
now, on to the recruits! Nov 26th!!

Unfortunately, I think that is a pretty accurate picture of Patto. He seemed a smart player, certainly tried his guts out, but ultimately you have to have a basic AFL level of ability - and he didn't.

Gee, didn't we stuff up the 2004 draft? 5 picks in the top 20 and we got
Deledio (good pick)
Tambling (OK - but only playing like a No 40 pick rather than a No 4)
Meyer - gone
Pattison - gone
Polo - just in out best 22.
McGuane - good
Limbach - gone
Graham - did his job as a pick 60

is there still a window for rookies to be upgraded RT?
I don't think there is. However with Bowden and possibly Richo retiring we can nominate 1-2 rookies to play from round 1. My guess is Nahas would be first in line and then depending on Richo and performances over summer Gourdis or Browne would be the other.

Personally would have liked to see Nahas and Browne or Gourdis elevated, but the positive with doing it this way is we still get keep them on the list and can then add 7-8 kids in the draft before GC get the first 5 picks in the rookie draft. Will leave us with around 4 picks in the rookie draft.
