Who will be getting the chop this year?

I have a feeling it might be Currie, Sumner and maybe Bevan?

Don't think there is any real clear cut candidates unlike last year, with O'Dwyer and Barlow.

Delisted
Currie

Could be traded
White (unlikely and he is contracted)
Seaby (contracted but could look elsewhere)
Moore
Bevan

With 3 retirements already this year we will be unlikely to delist too many more players unless we trade for 2 or 3 from other teams or promote a couple of rookies. Next years draft is supposed to be very strong while this years is suposed to be weak and this may save a few players for another year.

I think Sumner will stay, he has continued to improve and has shown more than Nick Smith did in his first couple of years at least i think he has.

Smith is rewarding our patience now by dominating many of his opponants and i think Sumner will do the same in two years.

As has already been said with the Retirements of Bolton, Bradshaw and Kennelly our mandatory 3 list changes are taken care of, so don't expect us to delist too heavily.

Sumner still on a leave in Adelaide, may decide he wishes to continue may not.

Seaby may be sought after as a fairly decent ruck with a number of clubs needing one

Currie may also try seek opportunities elsewhere

Moore and Bevan both unlikely to break back into our side, and may see if they have any trade value.

Based on that alone I doubt we'll be looking to cut too many, especially with a compromised draft.

given curries impressive year and winning the mulrooney plus a few retirements i think he may just get another year...i hope

I think the one thing that would play in his favour is if Seaby was to leave. If that happens, then I can see Currie getting another season because we would be down to Mumford and Pyke. Otherwise, I think he will be gone.

Currie may also try seek opportunities elsewhere - Keep for depth, has Pyke in front but is a saving if we trade Seaby.

Moore and Bevan both unlikely to break back into our side, and may see if they have any trade value. -Bevo to Giants, Moore for depth, or vise versa, again depends on their contracts who stays or leaves.

Based on that alone I doubt we'll be looking to cut too many, especially with a compromised draft.

Agree with you, just added my two cents.

I wouldn't be suprised if Richmond enquired about Seaby, considering they need a ruck and he was BOG when we played them at the SCG earlier in the year.

Currie and Sumner might be delisted.

Moore and Bevan might be traded.

I would be with early reports that Adelaide and Richmond are currently working out a trade for Maric.

Still I definitely think Seaby is capable of holding down the #1 ruck somewhere, maybe GWS, maybe Port, and if he doesnt want to leave then all the better and i'd gladly hang onto him at the Swans.

I think it will be Currie's call on his Club Boods career more than any others. He was oustanding in the 3 games I saw, and if not for a foot fault would surely have had finally found his way.
Fu is with you Ms Cross and hope he has a home with us next year.
Carn The Crusher!!

I can't see Currie staying. He's behind Mumford, Pyke, White and Seaby, and he has just never stacked on the weight required to be an AFL-level ruckman.

White's late season form has probably kept him on the list for another year (not that he would have been delisted as he's contracted, but he may have asked for a trade). I wouldn't be surprised if Seaby is going to GWS tbh. He hasn't even been close to getting a senior recall recently, and has had virtually no media mentions. It's like the club is deliberately ignoring him.

I think it's a bit soon to write off Sumner as gone as well. We have no idea what the problem is; it may be homesickness/motivation, but it may have been something else entirely.

I think trading Bevo to GWS would be a win for all parties.

I'm not sure about that. The same thing has happened to Jarred Moore, who IMO is close enough to our best 22 that he should have played a lot more games this year than he has. What's the story with him? When Horse has listed Bevan as the emergency for the game, then something is seriously wrong with Moore as he has been consistently in the top couple of players in the ressies.

Reckon it's time to give Goodesy the chop. His best is in the past. We can't afford to hang on to 30+ year old players who won't be part of our next premiership window. He's keeping young stars like Max Otten from getting a crack.
