"Waking up this morning and realising that my nightmare wasn’t a dream. History is littered by defining events that have marred human existence. Whether it was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand that instigated World War 1, or the crew who ruled it was safe to sail the Titanic through that fateful iceberg. History will be forever littered by these monumental, yet catastrophic even.
Yesterday we were all witness to one of the biggest catastrophes and injustice the world has ever seen. After 3 years of tenure on the Essendon Football Club list, Kyle Langford was presented with the number 4. Kyle has been plagued with mediocrity; whether that be disposal or a clear innate ability to rise above his crucible, this has paved the way for him to play consistent football at VFL level. Jobe Watson’s number 4 guernsey is a sacred object that is exclusive to deities. When Kyle was presented this honour, he was bestowed an honour that is unfit and inappropriate for him. In Kyles 3 years at Essendon, he has established himself a severe distaste for the football that is highlighted by his lack of contested ball statistics. Outsiders have marvelled at his ability to keep himself safe and avoid all contact with opposition players, while maintaining his perfectly manicured combover hairstyle. The sanctity of the number 4 Essendon guernsey should be kept safe, so future generations can marvel at its untamed legacy. The Essendon Football Club hierarchy could undoubtedly have the charge of treachery bestowed upon them for such an unjust act, such is blatant indifference from this ignorance. This deportable act will undoubtedly be wretchedly looked back upon in the annals of history and be shunned upon us for millennium’s to come.
When we look back in 30 years time, your descendants will ask “So what did you do?”
So I ask, what will you do?"
This is so overdramatic that I feel this post might be sarcasm but until proven this one is right up there

You moderate this site and still have faith in humanity?Yeah that Langford rant has to be a pisstake. For the sake of my faith in humanity, it must be.
Someone who doesn't actually watch Essendon but hates them so feels the need to provide an opinion even if it may be heavily misguided said:Essendon are too soft through their midfield. As good as Merrett is he is VERY soft. Good player - just a soft receiver though. Parish? SOFT. Really soft. Plus, Parish lacks a polished inside game anyway, so even if he wasn't soft, he isn't very damaging in congestion. Who does that leave? Heppell? If Heppell is your hardest midfielder then you may be even softer than I give you credit for.

"Hard inside midfielders" are great if you're playing the 80s. Matters less now.
