Just as I suspected all along Connors is nothing but a germ.

I recall Stringers pre trade radio interview saying that he loves the club and the boys at the club to now wanting to sit out the year??

Geez I dunno, let's see if we can list them in order:

- Told him he was not a wanted player and would be traded if possible
- Then PUBLICLY repeated the same, making sure Jake wouldn't be able to avoid media scrutiny during that difficult time
- Allowed an underhanded sequence of comments to imply that Jake was at fault for his predicament (which he has stated he has his part in), but refused to acknowledge that the club itself had done anything wrong
- Over valued him, whilst at the same time devaluing him to the market, thus making his trade drawn out and painful
- Threaten to put him back in a workplace he is deeply uncomfortable with despite your club being the direct cause of that discomfort

Well shit, what could possibly have changed??

  • Jake is staying
  • Entirely the fault of Connors, because apparently he leaked the story
  • The story, of course, was that the Bulldogs wanted to trade Stringer, but that is irrelevant somehow
  • Connors arrogantly thought he would get big contracts for Jake, as though he was the one instigating the trading
  • Looks like a fool as a result
  • Connors should have spoken to Jake and told him to suck up the fact that he was to be traded by the club, and somehow stay, I'm guessing maybe by begging the club for another chance?
  • Connors should be investigated for trying to facilitate a trade for his player who has been told by his club he is on the trade table

Just avoid the main board thread on Stringer. Let the cheats beat their own chests amongst themselves. Give them nothing. They truly are North Korea.

Just seen the Tom Browne interview. Nothing convincing in Jake's 'I won't be going back'. It sounded like he is still hurting and once the dust settles he will come crawling back to us (in the event that we can't get a trade for him of course).

I wonder if we are going to dig the heels in further regarding top 10/first round pick. All the media bashing and Jake appearing to want to call the shots along with Connors, Bev seems like he would be the type to try and work it out rather than cave. Especially to Essendope.
