Talking to a mate from Mordialloc and apparently they look set to lose a few quality players, possibly Troy Ogier, Jase Ferraro, Antrobus and Kirkland. Plus there are a number of others who have one foot out the door too. Martello and his monkeys will have to do some serious recruiting if they are going to have a crack at finals next season.

Got told by a few people last night that Troy Ogier will be playing at St.Bede's/Mentone next season. Not sure about the others.

:eek:Would be a devastating blow for the Bloods and the SFL, weren't far off the pace at all but I can't see Mordy being even competitive without those blokes on the park. Any ideas on the intended movements of the other 3?!?!?

Ogier to St Bedes would be no surprise, pretty sure he was considering that option last year. Ferraro maybe back to Edi-Asp, but the other 2 not so sure. I think Kirkland wants a change so he can play finals, or get more cash.... Mind you I think he says that every year!! It is very early but if they do go, they will be starting 3 steps back from last year.

Especially with Clayton losing a few this may be Mordi's chance to finally crack the top four. Kirkland wants out but won't play for anyone in the SFL Div 1, doesn't want to play against Mordi.

Could be a good year for Dingley to come up, a bit of smart recruiting and they could be playing finals.

Big step up for Dingley to make finals - Springy found out how big a difference there is last season. I think Tooronga are pretty well positioned to make a move on the finals, if they can secure a couple more quality players. The ground is probably the biggest deterrant in getting players across.

Hopefully the Bloods will keep at least 3 of the mentioned players - I think Ogier is gone and good luck to him too. Will be devastating blow to lose quality players, as keeping them and a few smart recruits would push the club towards that elusive finals position. Hopefully Brendan Long is around again and decides to run around. Kirkrat is very keen on leaving, and definitely doesn't want to play SFL - he doesn't know where but Keysie would be my best guess. Azza will be keen to go a step further, I think he will be after a few quality recruits again. Just hope the club can get a junior system happening this year.

Should be a very interesting season in the SFL again.

Would've definately been Mordys, ''window of oppurtunity''. In saying that Clayton won't be an easy push over by any means, still have a good list.

Personally I think Tooronga will be the team to take advantage of the Clayton and Mordy situation. Showed glimpes through '08' season and with a couple of upgrades could give the top 4 a shake.

Dingley should definately have 6th or possibly even 5th in their sights if a few things go their way but I can't see a top 4 birth in divy 1 for the Dingoes.

Yeas chaddles is a very big step up, just glad that we are in divvy 1. Dingley will be very competitive in there first year, not sure if we will make finals but would think we will go close. Springy lost 7 players from there GF side last year mate so i think they did well considering.

If anything took a step back in season '08'.
Highetts gone.
East Brighton is never down for long.
I'm afraid there won't be any easy wins that we saw in the season past
