very early days, but having a look at the noms, i'll be following(if they run)...

Wakeful: Extension of Time
Ellerston: Valedictum
Myer: Divine Madonna
SAAB: Bay Story

bit disappointed that Miss Andretti nor Gold Edition will take part in the Salinger. the race was already lacking without Takeover Target.

Hey guys,
I'm going to Derby Day, no absoulutly nothing about hourses wondering if anyone has any good bets for any of the races through out the day :thumbsu:
You must really know nothing about "horses" ;)

The fields aren't out yet, but I think Littorio will give you a great run for your money in the Derby.

Will have to wait for the fields for the other races.

Oh, and take rainwear! it'll be pissing down all day.

what about a strappers ticket? that get me into the meets over cup week??
Strappers cards used to get you into all parts of the track, but the VRC put a stop to that a few years ago.
With the horse flu you won't be able to go back & forth anymore.

One of the best days I ever had on cup day was one year when I took 3 mates into the mounting yard for the cup.

that didnt really answer my question! what i want to know is weather it will get me into the public??

Early thoughts...

Race 1 - Backed Nato last time, not sure whether to stick with him, he hit the line hard but these Exceed and Excel's look pretty quick. Ballerina Girl would be the only other Id look at.

Race 2 - I might have a speculative look at the Zabeel Zacroona this week, up in distance. Pit Lane is the only one that jumps out at me.

Race 3 - The Fuzz just looks like its on the way up and I reckon it will run a handy Melb Cup race too once it gets in. That Geelong Cup win was fantastic.

Race 4 - Most likely will be on the D O'Bs starting here - Absolut Glam back on the home track

Race 5 - Youd be having a crack at a First Four here with Weekend Huss and Royal Asscher prominent

Race 6 - Thinking about Maybe Better EW, has to show something..that said if Harada wins Ill kill myself. I will too if MF wins and I back Harada.

Race 7 - Villain all the way. Its last run wasn't that bad was finding the line nicely.

Race 8 - Was shocked to see Divine Madonna so short, although she should never lose at Flemington in this class.

Race 9 - What a brilliant wide open race...Ive never backed him ever but wouldnt be suprised if it was Shadoways day Saturday

Race 10 - Another wide open one Im tempted to go for King Johannes - was a very impressive win over Mr Baritone last week and would be a nice collect in the last at double figures

I've already had a go at Royal Asscher On the TAB got $4.20, I know I could have got more on other sites, but bettin acounts are overated. Whats everyone's thought??

I can't believe the Hussler is so short, Royal Asscher is a star. I'd think its odds would come in a bit but i'm not sure. Probably stay around $4..

Thoughts again??

I'm very very confident tho. Also like Tesbury Jack down the straight.

Salinger looks ok to me,ripping race.
Now that the Age Classic is the Gp 1 carnival sprint, doubt you could expect much more....will be $7 the field.

seth
