Did an AFL fantasy draft last night...

I joined a random draft league just to give it a crack before I do my real one with mates. 10 man.
This is the result (yes, those are my 3 other bench players way down there..gives you an idea of how buggy this crap is).



Firstly it started at 6:30 and finished after midnight. After I picked my team i fell asleep and let it randomly pick my bench players.

I did this draft on my phone via the app. Would it kill them to have an alert when its your turn so i wasn't staring at my phone non-stop? Ridiculous.

It kept bugging out and showing players that had already been picked. Oh, Swan is avaliable at my third pick? Sure! Oh wait.

It wouldn't tell me who other teams picked....really? I have to guess that myself?

I couldn't click on the other teams to see their line up.

Players on my line up kept disappearing. I had to remember who I picked (eg: pendles and barlow disappeared, so I had to remember I needed 4 more mids rather than 6)

and now, after this nightmare was over, I go on my computer to see the result....and I STILL can't see the other teams, or the draft order!

What a pissweak website and app. Might can DT this year.

Essentially had the exact same problem. Also my pre-daft list which I was hoping I'd be able to look at during the live-draft completely disappeared so I couldn't keep track of where I had ranked players which is complete BS.

I can't view other teams either, which is ridiculous.

So so buggy as well

i don't know what you people are talking about - it's a perfect draft experience.

Demon you obv have low standards. My draft on the phone was awful. Buggy, couldn't see who people were picking etc. Will do one tomorrow night on comp see if it's any better

As a commissioner, I need to know - can I set the draft order? 9 of 10 have joined, the tenth will join later and I'm hoping it will let me after that... We did a whole tennis tournament to decide order :S

nope not this year, I was gonna draft at afldreamteamdraft.virtualsports.com.au then copy picks over using a commissioner draft, but while fanhubafl answer all questions on twitter, the usual answer is sorrry that feature is not available this year.

Why not just use Ultimate Footy? It uses the DT scoring but you can edit almost of the settings you like. Works pretty well for me

They may have resolved some of the bugs from when I did the draft, I did email them and they said they were working on it.

One of my mates did his on the AFL site and said it was ****ing horrendous. Doing one with my mates on the VS site and got the feeling it's gonna be just as bad, site's being a campaigner and not letting me change anything

how does the new RFA system work?

i put it on ON, with one day, does this mean the waiver period is one day and then it is a free for all....Or you only have one day to get free agents?

did our draft last sunday but when you go to get the free agents it says some stuff about being available and the completion of the full round.

Oh man, this is glitchy as hell. Doing one currently, coming into round 14 I see Lenny still somehow sitting there. I realised he wasn't available first round but in an 18 man draft, I thought sweet thats a bargain. Anyway, I proceed to get Hayes and it's all good. Then at the end of my turn it tells me that Hayes was already taken beforehand by someone else, and consequently I'm given the next 'best option'. Scully you fuarrrking hack.

Did one last night, started at 6pm and its still going... current time is 6:36am... bloody draft has frozen - add to that 3 of my picks were auto selections because the site crashed conveniently coming up to my pick.

I'm just gonna quit this one I reckon.

After worrying, did one on 'real DT' site, and went through without a problem. Had a few players picked where it was 'loading' constantly thus appearing I hadn't made the selection in time, but no problems

Same, went off without a hitch after we realised it was on AEDT. Awesome night actually.

Just did a draft then (after hearing a mate of mine having plenty of issues last night with one) and it went incredibly smoothly. Very happy with the way it ran tonight, except for there being five teams out of ten being auto selected.
