Did you play footy with a VFL/AFL player?

Went to uni with Steve Wallis (Mitch's dad), didn't realise who he was for a couple of months until someone pointed out that he played for and was captain of Footscray. Really nice chap, very quiet and unassuming. I think he runs several car yards now.
A young 16/17 yr old Mark Viduka would often fill in for our indoor soccer team when growing up in the 'hood back in the early 90's. Incredible talent. Playing for Leeds, Celtic etc probably a lot safer than playing indoor soccer in St.Albans back then.

Patrick Dangerfield robbed me of a premiership by dropping down from the Anglesea firsts once they got knocked out of finals to play in the seconds. Was BOG.

So Danger can get Geelong across the line singlehandedly 7 times this year, but he couldn't get the Anglesea 2s across the line? Slightly disappointing.

Played them in school footy from memory. Mary Mac boys? Played for Warragul Gulls though most of my juniors.

Had the job of tagging Blairy. Legit the hardest player I've ever had to play on. Didn't stop running and was impossible to tackle. Wet cold crappy day that one over in the hills of Leongatha. Remember it like it was yesterday lol. Wasn't fun.

Played against Cooney in School footy, beat him in a one on one ruck dual around the ground but not in the ruck. Team got smashed though cause we were ordinary. Played against Beau Waters too, never directly on him though.

Played with Dion Woods in under 17's for half a season before Neesham whisked him off to Clontarf. Was in disbelief that he was getting groomed for a spot at AFL cos his work ethic was really average, and he had the idgaf attitude all through high school. Freos first home final vs Essendon summed Dion up well: Woods layed a tackle on Hird and was lying on top of Hird after the ball spilled loose. Hird somehow gets up quicker and followed the play, before kicking a scrappy dribbling goal from outside 50m. Woods just watched on and didn't bother chasing. So lazy.

You are just a spring chicken, I played junior football with Gerard Healy and senior cricket against Rex Hunt

Played first 18s in a decent school side which included, Jarred Polec, Brodie smith, Rhys Stanley, Scott lycett, jarred petrenko, Sam Gray, Brad Hellbig(few games at Richmond), BD sumner (Timmys brother was at Sydney) and a handful of blokes who are now playing sanfl. Unsurprisingly we won a few games that year.

Played 15s/16s with Jack Redpath. He was pretty wild back then. Was 6'4 in 16s and already had a big body. I remember once at training doing ruck drills against him and kneed him right in the groin.
