Any advice on the fathead pizza? I tried it and it stuck to the baking paper, then stuck to the pizza stone :(

Get a silicon baking mat, they are cheap and perfect for fathead pizza. And as Showdown said, keep your hands plus the silicon mat and rolling pin (if you use one) wet.

Improved all his health markers? I'd like to see the fasting blood glucose levels of someone who'd been on that diet for a significant period of time.

Wasn’t posting it as a right or wrong way of doing things. But Norton is right low carb/high fat or keto isn’t any more magical than any other calorie restricted diet for fat loss. The fat loss is what drives the health improvements.

How anyone decides to eat or not to eat doesn’t affect me and vice versa.

Apart from a few diehards who said it was?

Norton is close to the worlds biggest dikhead who comments on health/nutrition. Very, very smart man, but its always "look at me, look at me" and " I'm smarter and know more than anyone else in the world" he needs to get off the pedestal and join the real world

Plus I think he tries way too hard to downplay the impact insulin can have on a person's long term diet adherence.

100% spot on. He's always the one to go against the opinion of new trends/science just to prove it wrong, he's no different to Rosemary Stanton and other DAA stooges. Insulin resistance IS real, science backs that up.

Just like how the keto clan claim its more magical than any other diet

You may not like the man or how he delivers his messages but that has nothing to do with the science behind what he is saying

I like what he says but I will agree he comes across as a know it all

What would happen if you ate nothing but fruit and raw plant foods, and drank nothing but water and freshly made juices and smoothies, for one month?

Dangerous?
Healthy af?
Get fat?
Lose weight?
Die?
Clean snaps?
Skiddies?
Full of energy?
Coma?
Sciatica issues?

Depends if I did it I already eat well and exercise a lot I’d struggle, but someone with a very poor diet would get a lot healthier

It's not magical but it is a lot easier to feel fuller for longer and stay under your calorie goals to help lose weight vs other diet options, especially for already overweight people. It can also help reverse prediabetes and bring people with diabetes back to having more reasonable blood glucose levels.

In terms of how hungry I feel.....I'm far better off dieting with carbs than keto

An interesting study, basically comparing two forms of low fat diet. One with higher sucrose (table sugar) and the other I'm assuming, with higher glucose and fructose. Changes in blood-work is minimal but that is to be expected on such a short 6 week time-span. Would be interested in seeing the fasted blood glucose levels if this study was continued for a year.

Yet to see a 6-10 week severe calorie restricted diet of any type where obese people didnt improve markers. [Insert silly twinkie diet here]

This study was a moderate, not high carb diet, with only 73.3g of "dietary" carb for the high group, and 70.9g of dietary carb for the low group with the addition of 121.2g of sucrose (table sugar) for the high group and 11.8 g for the low group (why?) it was also "extremely" high in vitamin and mineral supplements including huge doses of iron, why the extra iron I'm not sure. And did the extra iron have an effect on the positive thyroid function test? and will that stay positive in the long term?

One odd thing to me was the average weight loss was around 63% body fat, and the other 30 odd percent? Had to be muscle and organ tissue, after 6 weeks you can get away with it, but long term? No way.

Not sure what the point of posting these obscure studies proves apart from trying to rubbish a low carb approach.

I’ve never rubbished low carb, I think it is great for people who enjoy the lifestyle and if it helps people achieve their goal then go for it. The point I am trying to make is low carb is no more beneifical than any other calorie restricted diet.
