Mesomorph is the best on the market. Not for first timers though.

Neurocore is shit in my opinion. Get Jack3d. Cheap, good for first time users and you can up the dosage safely.

I had been using pwo for 7 years tried most of them from no explode, black powder, sp250, nano vapor, original jacked, flash over and the last one was mesomorph had given that one A good smashing tolerance built up and was up to 2 1/2 scoops so I tried animal rage that was shit stuff. I have not had any Stims for 6 months only been on virtago carbs. Was looking for a new clean product I heard Nurocore was good but muscle tech always talk there products up! Dose the jack3d give you the alpha male aggression?

meso > jack3d

jack3d made me spaced out, tired and unmotivated. the only good thing was the tingly feeling, wasn't worth it for the crash.

meso made me feel like i had just taken meth or something, was crazy and the crash was easy, just made me feel tired. i think that's down to quality of the ingredients though.

meso have recently changed a bit though, i've noticed myself that i feel a bit light headed and kind of sick. guy at gym agreed and said he is going to try a new product.

Pre workout supps - The supp of the idiot

Wouldn't say it is the supp of the idiot, more the supp of the moneywaster since there are only ~5 things that have consistently shown improved performance in clinical trials done on humans, and it is much much cheaper to make your own pre-workout than wasting cash on proprietary blends.

Besides pretty sure there are still people slamming down dextrose to spike dat insulolin post-workout, they are the idiots :p

Well name the best thing that you would use then to give you tunnel vision?

What??

Edit. Oh right.

I only use caffeine, acetyl L-carnatine and creatine myself, you can add L-tyrosine, beta-alanine and citrullin malate but I don't use them because there is not much research on long term side effects in regards to health, but the short-term performance boost is all there.

OFC the best pre-workout = your mind

Yeh, thats an athlete right there :p

Come now Kong, pre-workouts do nothing for you at the end of the day (except maybe keep you up when you should be sleeping) but they definitely change your mood when you're in the gym.

If I'm low on cash, it's always the first supplement I take off my 'to buy' list, as it won't help me build muscle in any way. But I'm a fan of using it to get in the mood for gym. I find that if I don't take them, I'm more willing to chat to other lifters - and I hate that!

Having said all of this, I cycle them correctly as I don't like the thought of my body getting used to 400mg of caffeine each day. That shit is bad for you.

So it technically can help you build muscle :p

400mg of caffeine, Wow thats way to high, surely a dose of PWO doesnt give you that much caffeine? which PWO would that be

Certainly cheaper ways to get the same effect. But those bulk nutrient supps and mix them with some NO DOS and you will get a similar effect.

It doesn't directly help to build muscle like amino acids etc. Some pre workouts have creatine yes, but unless you're taking creatine throughout the day, it doesn't belong in a pre workout.

400mg caffeine was just in general, say if you have a couple of coffees in the morning and a pre workout it might add up to that for some people.

Exactly why I think they're a crock.

It seems just about everybody on here's right into them, I just don't get it.

FFS, eat well, lift plenty, sleep enough. You'll get results.

^^^ that is the biggest load of shit I've seen on here.

Honestly, if you need to drink that shit to get motivated/excited for the gym, you ain't in it for the long haul.

The stuff I mentioned don't get you motivated (except caffeine, and L-tyrosine does have a "sideeffect" that makes you shaky), they increase your gym performance (endurance and total weight moved), in the long term even a 5% increase in total weight picked up and down will make a difference.

Again you are spot on with your last comment though, motivation has to come from within and no supplement is essential and many has unknown long term effects on health. Creatine though is going to be as close to dat dere celltech for naturals as its going to get.

Id recommend a PWO if people dont have the motivation to train and thus wont train. But if the PWO does help to get them to the gym than i say why not?

Its a last resort for a lot of people.

I rarely take it, although when i do take it. I cant wait to train and if i dont train with taking it i start jumping all over the place hahah.

i don't see any major harm in a pwo a couple times a week, not because i have to, i just find it to be a bit of fun. i get a rush, the pump is better which is always cool to feel and i get my workouts done quicker with more concentration. i don't drink, smoke or take recreational drugs and my diet is very healthy apart from maybe the odd tablespoon of nutella. nor do i consume any other caffeine drinks, pills or what have you..so i don't see the harm in it. obviously i'd be healthier with no pwo at all but like i said, bit of fun :) each to their own

Has anyone has upset stomach problems from protein shakes or certain kinds of protein shakes?

I've got one flavour that I'm trying to use up which after 3-4 days tends to give it to me. It can't be the protein, because I've used the same brand with different flavour with no adverse affects.

Also wondering if anyone is a fan of multigrain oats?

Discovered them a couple of weeks ago and find them awesome for controlling my over eating, and still giving me energy. Just half a cup in the morning, and I have enough energy for the whole day and exercise. Kills my cravings throughout the day.

So much so that I have to force myself to eat lunch and have to force eat to actually eat healthily.

Yeh i agree with Whomb, really with PWOs you almost need to change them monthly as you seem to get use to them and the effect wears off. I would never buy another 1kg bag of it, just a waste.

@Ricky, Im starting a bulk so feel i need oats. What oats do you exactly type, image/kink? Also how do you take them, just like a porridge or in a shake or ?

I suppose the other tactic could be just to take it intermittently - just on those days you fell a little flat/ low motivation. That way you are like a new user every time.

An oats shake would be pretty hard core. How does that work?

Porridge is really nice with honey. Agree that it is really good for filling you up and for slow burning energy. Possibly the best weight loss food there is, when you think about it.
