, does that make him a better addict and parent than a different type of addict?
All other things being equal, yes IMO. An addict with the resources to provide the best education and connect with the higher echelons of society is going to provide better parental outcomes than a poor addict.

PLEASE! What qualifications do you hold Jason?
That’s an arrogant statement.

The highway between Pt Macquarie and Hexham completed in 2013.. Watch the podcast again. How did you know they were going 80km/hr. It is 110 km/hr nearly all the way. The arrived at 9.30. and brushed their teeth.
Where do you get 9:30 from?
According to Overington's book they arrived at around 9pm.
But they could have arrived any time - nobody witnessed them arriving.
We know they stopped to supposedly "put pull-ups on the kids".
They left after 6:40pm based on CCTV evidence.
It's a 2-hour drive at best. Plus say a 10-minute stop for pull-ups.
That's only a 10-minute 'discrepancy' which might be due to traffic or slow driving, or maybe they actually arrived at 8:50?

No qualifications. Just somebody who grew up poor and is now doing pretty well.
Look, there's no argument that people with money have more opportunities than people without, and this passes to their children. We would all rather have money than go without it.

But money alone is not a valid reason for removing children from parents and placing them in care.
Nor does having money miraculously give a person parenting skills.

The imbalance between rich and poor unfortunately finds its way into the legal system, especially in the Family Court, where financially disadvantaged people are often deprived of their rights. Case in point - Brendan and Karlie - if they were wealthy, they could have paid a lawyer to go to court to fight for custody of their children, instead of having to represent themselves. The judiciary is stacked with judges who mostly come from privileged backgrounds themselves (how else could they afford to go to law school, and find connections in the legal world to do their articles, get admitted to the Bar etc.)? Do you think a judge from a privileged background is going to be impressed by a poor uneducated couple living on subsistence, or a QC in a wig and gown who probably went to the same university and private school as the judge? Money talks!
This is one reason why you find children from poor families making their way into foster care more than children from rich families. It's not that the rich are better parents - it's that they can pay money to make sure their sh*t parenting doesn't come to the attention of FACS or police.

The podcast that has been subpoenaed clearly states 9.30pm. I thought 9 pm as well. As you well know I don't think the photos were taken the day he disappeared and considered that something happened on the journey between Heatherbrae and Kendall. There is a yawning gap if it was actually 9.30 pm. I wonder whether this is the reason the episodes were under subpoena. The police must have checked cell phone data at Kendall and know when they arrived hence the shifting storyline. There is a very good chance he did not get to Kendall in one piece. It certainly explains the 7.30 timestamp and the FGM walkthrough where she states the FF had left by 8am. It also explains why the FD and William slept in seperate beds that night. Maybe the FD was asleep when it happened. Maybe she does not know what happened to her brother. Interestingly the female police officer who talked to her got no information from her.

podcast schmodcast. Where's the source? Overington did extensive research for her book. She spoke to many people. She's an award winning journalist. And the book was written many years ago when people's memories were fresher. If she says it ways 9.00pm when they arrived in Kendall then she probably had a good reason.
FGM saying 8am for brakfast was ridiculous - doesn't fit with any of the rest of the narrative, and should have been immediately challenged and clarified at the time. She was probably just guessing and had no idea what the real time was, but clearly it could not have been 8am as FF was captured on CCTV. But she may have been lying so should have been cross-examined on this - how did she KNOW it was 8am? What reference pojnt did she use? Clock, radio, phone, something else? Shoddy police work.

I agree right up to the end. The rich are better at most things (generally, and all other things being equal), that's why they're rich, and that includes being better parents.

Just because you don't like what is said on the podcast, does not mean it's not right. People Lie when they commit crimes. Not everything is true. The police are not using what is probably a work fiction as evidence. There are using the podcast with Leah Harris who has been there since the day dot as evidence. The podcast mentioned in this sub for the fourth time.

Remember FGM said she had no idea who was sleeping with who.

Including all the rich that acquired their richness primarily via inheritance?

EXACTLY!

When my youngest daughter moved school to Sydney on the upper North Shore she was considered a Bogan, but where she came from she was considered a TOFF. It's all relative. I consider Williams biological parents extremely poor, but his FP, I would not consider wealthy, rich what ever you want to call it.

I’m not sure if this is well known, but a foster carer only has to provide a safe and secure home for a foster child. Single people can foster a child and as long as they can provide for the child and they meet other eligibility requirements such as age, blue card, etc can foster. This is why they also get paid.

The fosters were better at realestate auctions. Guess you can be rich if you use dishonest means. That does not make you a good parent.
