I think there is a high possibility that she lost her temper and hit him potentially causing his death. We have evidence of that sort of behaviour with the FD. I don't think she deliberately killed him.
Yes I think William bit her hand. SOMEONE hit him to make him let go maybe. Having had a previous injury well that was that and it could have happened at the time of the dice throwing.

Day one of resumption of inquest: 4 November 2024

Foster parents out to lunch with lawyer Sharon Ramsden. Highly paid Barristers English (retained by FF) and Stratton (tendency expert and retained by the FM) are not present in this photo.

FF solicitor is on maternity leave, and is not featured in this photo either.
I just can’t imagine their legal bill.

Do we think they’re getting pro bono representation?

Something that’s just popped into my mind as I’m trying to sleep: FM comment that they can dig it all up they won’t find him there.

I think it was part of the covert surveillance. The big dig was announced and this comment was made to a friend I think?

How would FM know that William wouldn’t be found there? For all she knew, he’d wandered off or the kidnapper/killer dumped his remains there.
True.

Maybe she handed him off to someone ?

But you would think this person would come forward.

"Paul S said he saw or heard a noisy 4WD go that way earlier in the week."
Excuse me a brand new Land Rover is not noisy 😏
Really! Just a thought..... Could FF have visited the area in his new 4WD in the weeks before? Could be up and back in a day. (Not necessarily the car PS saw.) Have a bit of a drive through the state forest to find a nice quiet spot that is good for digging.

“Sharelle and Peter Crabb said they were on their back verandah when heard the car about 10.05am, the inquest was told.”

“The public would never hear whether the police had ruled out the postie. Presumably, it would be simple enough to check with the post office which driver (in which vehicle) was on duty that day.

Actually, I did some digging and discovered that the postal worker - a woman - had been in Benaroon Drive about ten that morning. We can’t rule out the possibility
that it was the postal worker the Crabbs heard.

Neighbour Peter Crabb said he didn’t see any cars parked on the street either, not when he and his wife left and not when they returned home at about 9.30 am.

A heart scare had prompted Peter to add more exercise into his daily routine. So every morning, rain or shine, he and his wife, Sharelle, drove
to North Haven for a brisk walk along the riverside bike path.

Their walk took at least an hour, putting their departure from home at around 8.00 to 8.30.”

I find it amazing that people recall 10.05 did they look at there watches and say, “oh look at that it is 10.05”
No you would say it was about 10 bla bla bla.

What a massive disappointment. Worked the area with dogs and nothing!!
I think we might be missing the significance of the dog handler evidence. It is proof that William did not wander off the property and get lost. If he did, then he couldn't have got far and dogs would have found his scent.
This proves William was removed by vehicle, and confirms human intervention.

Well what that tells me is that the hiding happened much further away. No I don't think it exculpates her. I think it advances the option of further away and likely photos edits to give them time.

So what was she doing at Cobb & co then?. Had she thrown something and pulled over to turn around and come back? Perhaps
Trying to catch FF before he got home to tell him what happened.

Are you sure that contamination of the crime scene by other people and owners dogs did not materially effect dog searches?

See below too?

'Senior Constable Adam Aitken is also a part of the NSW Police dog squad and works with cadaver dogs.

He was involved in a search of Kendall, with his dog Digger, on September 15, 2014.

The court was told on Tuesday that the September 15 search did not take in the area around the Cobb and Co Rd and Batar Creek Rd intersection.'

So because a truck driver saw FM the new witness there was millions spent on a big search? Am I missing something?

People trampled all over the area and didn't find William. The dogs went further into bushland where people couldn't go, and didn't smell him. He wasn't there. The scene was contaminated by searchers because they searched everywhere accessible within reach of a 3YO boy. He wasn't there.

Right. Frank Abbott had no licence and claimed he didn't drive. But he did.

PS in fairness to the cops, if someone doesn't have a licence or a registered vehicle how the heck are the cops supposed to identify them or their vehicle?
Because the cops in a small town know everyone and their cars and qualifications because they are usually repeat offenders. Just like they know who are the local cooks, dealers and users etc.

there were over 1,700 persons of interest in the case. Of those, 732 were deemed low risk, while there were 79 outstanding names requiring analysis.

Given the volume of names, Ross said the team used government data to eliminate people without cars registered in their names and those without a licence.

They already had their names. There’s plenty of ways to check on a person, their address and whereabouts.
Just ask the local cops

How thorough was the FGM’s house searched on the 12th by the pol.
Was it just a walk through?
FF was missing the next morning. When was he found on the second time at the fire trail? The one the pol told him not to go there?
In his walk through he was looking to see if a shoe had been lost by William.
Has FF been considered a POI in moving a corpse.
The fire trail leads to CH river.

The police said at the court case that they believe FM knows where William’s remains are.
If the truck driver has confirmed where he saw her, this is probably where they dug.
They haven’t found William which goes back to police saying they believe FM knows where William’s remains are.
IMO.

I think there is some where in the house William would not be found

FF was seen coming out of the bathroom where he had vomited.
What if he saw William’s injuries?

A long shot but it is a good spot.

I will say it again

The FGP’S lived in PNG he was an engineer he would have had a safe somewhere that could not be found.

This could give them 12 hours or so till the middle of the night.

Does any one know if FGF died at home?
If so then traces of cadaverine would still be present in the house.
Any traces of blood if some one had a shower or washed their hands?

There was a statement from police that they believed she threw something out the car window.

Then there is FMs own statement that she had her head out the window looking for William and the truck driver mistakenly believed she was waving at him.

She’s already on the front foot discrediting the truck driver.

She only mentions the truck driver once - in the walk through interview - and never mentions the encounter again.

Which strikes me as very odd because for all she knew, he had picked up William along the very road she was looking for him on.

There was these detailed descriptions of the two vehicles but no details on the truck driver or appeals by the FM for him to come forward.

My guess is that the truck driver saw something fairly suspicious for it to grab his attention. When you are on the road a lot you seen random things fairly frequently.

‘Waving’ - is there a similar arm movement to ‘ throwing’ involved ?

I worked with the expert witness who proved that it was not foetal haemoglobin. She was an expert in Haemoglobin. Her name was Pat Fleming. She was a Senior Scientist at Westmead. She was also a Seventh Day Adventist like Lindy and Michael Chamberlain. I discussed in detail with her the problems with the evidence. I don't think she identified it as paint though.
Was it rust proofing ?

Didn't we read that the car the Crabbes heard has never been identified?
I thought we heard it was confirmed that the post lady did a much earlier trip that day, so what they heard could not have been the postie.

I believe there was also some discussion between Mr & Mrs Crabbe re the time the heard the vehicle, as each had a different opinion.
