Yeah a lot of the inquest/inquiry stuff would’ve been kept embargoed so only certain info gets let out.
It certainly isn’t ideal for the coppers conducting searches and investigations 7 years later
Going off the information about previous searches a lot more could’ve been done, plus they seemed to hone in on some theories whilst discounting others only to come back to it later

I wonder how those lovely ladies from Insight Communications are holding up? They really seemed to hold onto hope that WT was still alive.

I wonder what they would make of everything that has transpired in the investigation over the last few weeks?

Psychics : theres some results on goog search.

Hmmm this sounds like bs.

Usually the psycics that i've watched in doco's will only get involved in a case when they are asked and they almost always ask for an item of the missing person to channel them.

Its amazing how accurate their information can be

Tissue = perhaps FFM had been crying, you know, because her foster son had gone missing? I reckon even I would. Or, you know, considering they'd been searching everywhere incl under the house, in the sheds and around the bush in the vicinity she'd cut herself moving branches and other stuff out of the way? Those two scenarios are much more believable than 'she must have cut herself with the murder weapon during the intense struggle with her 4yo foster son. He almost overpowered her'.

Jesus wept.

No the injury occurred when she was playing with the kids that morning. She wrote it in her police statement.

She said she grazed the palm of her right hand falling over.

The tissue is fastened on.

It’s a non issue but would’ve been nice if the police photographed the injury.
They should’ve done that.
How do you know that they didn't?

And if they did, wouldn't making it public be a gross invasion of privacy?

And in the process, trash NSW Police's reputation and move public sentiment closer to Salem than sound and scrupulous.

I saw on my news feed this morning, the search for WT's remains will end in coming days. Detective Chief Superintendent said officers were "happy with the progress" but that there was "no great milestone to report".

Isn’t that totally contradictory? Or are they ruling out that William was ever in that area?

Context below from the article, that statement was from 2 weeks ago not a current view of the progress necessarily.

In an update two weeks ago, Detective Chief Superintendent Bennett described the search as "painstaking".

He said officers were "happy with the progress" but that there was "no great milestone to report".

My bad. I didn't notice the quote was from 2 weeks ago. They must have been desperate for quote that wasn't forthcoming.

The media now reporting that the search has been called off.

The media now reporting that the media was wrong again.

'NSW Police told NCA NewsWire on Wednesday .... The spokesperson also said media reports that the search had wrapped up were false but added officers would finish up at the site this week.'

Interesting that news.com.au was one of the outlets that was reporting the search had ended, as you can see by the link (blue highlighted text) in the post above. Pretty shoddy that they did a quick edit of the body of the text rather than delete the article completely and apologise for their misinformation.

I heard the search had ended on the TV as well but can't remember what channel it was.
