The other thing though is that he's been rather vague about what they believe has happened to William. Saying FM knows where he is but not being more specific.

Makes me wonder if police believe FM is responsible but don't actually know the full story

Hopefully, we aren't being misled by the media.

"Under cross examination from defence barrister John Stratton, a senior Detective on the investigation told the court that he believed that the foster mother was aware of where William was buried.

“I’ve formed the view that (the foster mother) knows where William Tyrrell is,” Detective Sergeant Andrew Lonergan told the court
."

The journalist says buried and then he quotes the Det Sgt Lonergan saying where WT is.

Buried means WT is deceased. Is means that he is still alive. Which is it??
It seems Lonergan never used the word 'buried'. That seems to be an invention by the reporter or editor.

It sounds like the detectives believe it was an accidental death? Why else would they offer her immunity when they initially held this case before the crimes commission?

It now looks like this was added to the article.

"Sergeant Lonergan told the court he believed that William had been buried in an area on the corner of Batar Creek Rd and Cobb and Co Rd on the outskirts of Kendall.

He also told the court that he believed that Williams’ body was disposed of by the foster mother.

In November last year, police conducted searches around the location at Batar Creek Rd.

The foster mother is facing a two-day hearing before Magistrate Miranda Moody."

We understand decisions have been made for different people for different reasons.

In court on Thursday, Sergeant Lonergan told the court the foster mother responded “what?

In that case, no more stuffing around. Clear that area of growth entirely and bring in the bulldozers. Once and for all.

Although how she managed to bury him so completely in the brief time frame available is little short of superhuman. Did they find recently used spades and shovels at the house back then?

I think this conversation was prior to the search.

Damn hard to find a body probably placed (rather than buried) in a watercourse, 7 years previously.

If this is true, we can forget all of the statements from FM, FF and FGM and it also increases the likelihood that the timestamp on those last images were adjusted. We know that the FF was an IT guru and would know how to perform that modification. If WT was buried by the FM, then it is more likely in the opposite direction from the riding school and most likely near the cemetery or possibly in the cemetery. If the timestamp is fudged, then the FF may have also disposed of the body on his trip to Lakewood and it might have been the main reason he went there for a zoom call, which he would use later as an alibi.

One thing this does clear up is that phrase "Leave no Stone unturned", along with the unrelated charges over the past year, all designed to apply maximum pressure.

I’m back to my original thought, that the truck driver who saw her acting suspiciously came forward and he was the “brand new previously unknown witness”.

That set off a series of events: surveillance, re interviewing FGM (when she was still alive obviously) and re interviewing a now older LT, going over statements, requesting podcasts etc.

And the Police saying that the Foster Mother disposed of the body, was possibly deliberately said to see if she gives the Shaggy response + "it was XXXXX"
And in doing so, reveals who XXXXX was (if there ever was an XXXXX that William's Foster Mother saw or was aware of that disposed of William's body).

Trying to catch up here, when was she offered immunity? Before the dig or after it?

Is this all being brought up because it’s believed the police involved were wrong?

Ie the area has since been searched and shown up nothing?

The police had to show their hand sooner or later, I think this is just the start.

If this is accurate... and she had completed all those interviews... absolutely horrific.

“The state's top secret crime-fighting agency has grilled William Tyrrell's foster mother accusing her of hiding the toddler's body after the boy fell from the verandah of his foster gran's home, a Sydney court has heard.

In recordings of fiery evidence put before the Crime Commission and played to the court the foster mother repeatedly denied the accusations about William.

In the audio, she challenges investigators to 'dig up' the area where they claimed the three-year-old's remains were buried.

The foster mother was summonsed to appear before the Crime Commission along with William's foster father on November 10 and 11 last year.

She was told by Commissioner Barnes 'we are here to find the body of William Tyrrell'.

When it was suggested the foster mother 'put ... or dumped' William's remains 'near the riding school' at Kendall, she answered back 'do you think I did that?'

Sobbing, she continued: 'No, absolutely not'.

When the Commissioner suggested 'William went around on that verandah and he toppled over and it was nobody's fault what happened', the foster mother replied, 'No, I would have found him. But I didn't find him.'

When Ms Callan said, 'I want to suggest you did find him, you put his body in your mother's car', the foster mother replied, 'I didn't, I didn't'.”

Looking for evidence of when the first reports were of Sergeant Lonergan becoming involved in the investigation we know that Lonergan has been on the case since the taskforce inception (Q: how many William Tyrrell taskforces have there been?)

It was reported today (Q: for the first time?) that Dept Communities & Justice (the part that would have been known as FACS back in 2014) was not notified immediately about the assault (hit with spoon) on the child because of Police surveillance on the home. If this today's media court reporting is correct (need to find other today/tomorrow's media articles take on this), that might not be the last we hear of this reported delay in reporting the incident

'Police told William’s foster mother ‘we know where, we know how, we know why’

'Updated November 3, 2022 — 4.49pm'first published at 1.58pm

'When SD’s barrister, John Stratton, SC, asked if the charges were designed to extract information about William’s whereabouts, Detective Sergeant Andrew Lonergan said “yes”.
“Of course! Our main objective is to find out what happened to William Tyrrell,” he said.

Lonergan, who has been with the taskforce investigating William’s disappearance since its inception, told the court he believed SD knew the whereabouts of the little boy’s body.

The taskforce did not notify the Department of Communities and Justice about the alleged assault of the child because police were monitoring the home and the children in it, he said. The court did not hear when the department was informed.
Also watching the court proceedings on Thursday was the former lead detective on the investigation, Gary Jubelin, who sensationally quit the police force and then was convicted of illegally recording a suspect in the case.'

'William Tyrrell's foster father was charged by two detectives from the Unsolved Homicide team with knowingly giving false and misleading evidence.
One of the officers is a senior detective in the strike force investigating the missing toddler.
Court documents seen by Daily Mail Australia reveal the foster father was charged by Detective Sergeant Andrew Lonergan and Detective Sergeant Trent Power from the Unsolved Homicide team, part of NSW Police State Crime Command.
The 55-year-old, who detectives claim has 'lied about something we can prove', gave the allegedly false evidence to the secretive NSW Crime Commission late last year.'

Here's the answer. Assuming that the reporting is accurate. Although many will hotly dispute that this conversation was offering immunity!

It was not long before the fosters 10-11 Nov 2021 NSW Crime Commission appearance/questioning.
When Lonergan and another police office had gone to the ex-foster mothers home to serve a summons to appear before the NSW Crime Commission.

So before the dig!

‘She knows where he’s buried.’ Tyrrell cop accuses foster mum

'The court was told of a conversation in 2021 between the woman and police officers who had gone to her home to serve a summons for the Crime Commission appearance.

Police suggested they had information that William had fallen from a balcony at his foster grandmother’s home and that the foster mother had disposed of his body.

“We understand decisions have been made for different people for different reasons,” they told her. “We aren’t guessing, we aren’t bluffing. We know why, we know how, we know where he is.”

The woman is alleged to have responded: “What? Why haven’t you got him?”

At the Crime Commission hearing, she again denied any involvement in William’s disappearance. “I didn’t touch him, I don’t know where he is,” she said, according to evidence presented at Thursday’s hearing.'

Is this your only evidence of what you refer to as Police (whilst delivering a summons to the FM to appear b4 the NSW Crime Commission) of offering her immunity from prosecution for something(s)?

Apologies if I misinterpreted your post or there is something else you posted earlier I have missed to add to evidence of your "immunity" claim.

Cute. She knew that was coming and gave them smartarsery in response.
