no offence but you're not too bright are you. TADS has offered you a solution to your problem, after going to the trouble to call the club FOR you, then post on more than one occassion what you should do, you've ignored her on every occasion. If that's anything to go by, no wonder the club gives you no assistance.

There's an idea.

If I want to take a mate to the footy I'll pretend I temporarily misplaced my membership card, get a new one and we'll both go.

I'm not suggesting for a minute this is what you are trying to do but it is the sort of thing the club would have to address because some people would do it.

Thanks PC - Scott youhave the option of using my AFL ticket but you will have to PM me and stand in queue to get the ticket buit that is you only other option.

As i have spoken to 3 different staff members at the club - mind you they were all very helpful and genuie in wanting to help but they have policies. It is not only the club policy it is also a AFL policy.

Yeah that's right.

It's a tough one I agree the club should look out for it's members, but it's pretty easy then for people to do what you are saying.

It is not that the club are not looking out for their members.

It cost them $143.00 to reprint another ticket - I think the club is looking after there members but not doing this as it is not a lost ticket it is in Canberra

Ok, we have 6 Reserved seats, Therefor we can only seat maximum 6 People. So why would we want to pretend that we have lost or misplaced our teickets to get more? we can still only seat the same amount of people in the seats. We have the Bar codes etc from the tickets so they can make sure they are only used once etc.

So i dont see what their problem is?!?!

Thank you for the offer of borrowing tickets but i would prefer to use my own as that is what i paid for.

Scott

p.s. i have been tellin the truth whole truth and nothing but the truth. Some peoeple must be just prtecting themselves!?!?! i dont know.. if they cared they would have been more helpful and wanted me to be at the game.

Yeah I was just saying the club does want to look after it's members, but giving people a free ticket everytime they say they have misplaced their membership means they can be taken advantage of.

So would you be happy to pay the GA price and get to sit in your reserved seats?

Scott

No one wants to argue with you (although it has provided me with entertainment this afternoon) but you can't expect to club to bend over backwards, change policy, etc because you forgot to get your memberships.

That's what it comes down to. You forgot to get your membership, and now you're blaming the club for your mistake, which is not only unfair, but unfathomable.

Bring in arguements about "we give this, we have that, we were going to do this" just makes you look like a bit of a tool which i know you're not really.

Things like this happen, you just have to grin and bear it when it happens, not blame others.

I think you should pay the gate fee if you haven't got your membership and do not want to pay for a replacement membership. Fair enough I think you should be allowed to sit in your reserved seat, but if the club lets in for free it's too easy for people just to get their mate in for nothing by saying they have misplaced their membership.

What i have said before and am still saying is. We offered to pay the replacement Fee but they would still not do it. Also if we have the Bar codes from out memberships then by the nature of each bar code being unique then we can only use each ticket bar code once. If you get what i mean....

Bar codes can even be used if photocopied, not that i am saying that is what we suggested. but still... their system recognises each indeiviual bar code and only lets it enter the ground once per weekend. Therefor if we can quote out bar code sumwhere or something or if the club can print out a replacement something for just this weekend or whatever then all is good. They were not willing to listen to any of these suggestions.

I am not getting ****ty or anything.. just looks like i wont be able to get to the game.

Scott

BTW if there is a record for the amount of times the words "bar code" are said in one message then i think i just broke it.

Rocco for lost memberships that is what it cost the club to replace, i don't beleive members are ask to pay this, that is just what is cost the club.

for memberships that are not in there possesion and inter state - I do not beleive the club should be held accountable or expected to do this.

the club is not just making this decision we have telstra dome and AFL invovled in replacing of tickets or handing out passes for a game

When we lost our dog, we went to the lost dogs home. They had gassed Devil by the time we got there but at least we had closure.

Perhaps there is a lost membership department you could try.

( You do not have to thank me, I just thought after the abusive responses you have got on this thread a sensible constructive post was just what was needed)

Scott - i don't think you were or your mum were listening - that is the problem. the whole thing was explain to me and I can see exactly why you they have not been able to do as you want.

I am willing to lend you a ticket, you don't want it because you want your own seats.

You want the club to organise your tickets and you are willing to pay for that, as i beleive it is AU$143.00 for replacements but you are not willing to pay for GA and seat - a hell of alot less.

You wanted solutions and none of them were good enough, I don't beleive that you were looking for a solution at all when you started this thread - you wanted to start trouble which you have done well.

The staff at the club don't deserve this and neither do people on this board that have tried to help.

here's some abuse for you Mr walker - your a ********

Thanks Mr Walker !!

TADS: I have borrowed memberships off a friend that cannot go to the game, this is why i dont need to borrow yours. Thanks for the offer anyway. The club might be explaining the situation from their point of view now but believe me i am not trying to start arguements or anything but in the first instance they were very rude and unhelpful.

We dont want perminant replacements, we dont want hand outs, all we want is someone to listen to us and maybe make an effort to help. surely they can sort something out for a couple of young guys wanting to go and watch a game of football.

I still dont understand how they cant, for one game, sort something out. Surely things like this have happened before.

Large organisations are great at blaming the smaller people because they cant defend themselves. The Western Bulldogs shouldnt be like this.. they are a very decent club. i am dissapointed.

TADS i think you have some serious growing up to do.

Scott

Scott - me grow up

I have rung the club three times regarding your problem, every-time receiveing abosulutely nothing but exceptional customer service and very helpful information.

you on the other hand has sat here and complain how the will not help the smaller person.

You may have been hung up on by someone at the club - for that i have know idea on and do not condone it which is exactly what i told them.

Your mother and as she is not able to defend herself - I wish I did not have to post this but as you want to sit here and say hanging up is so rude. Hung up on Mary-anne as you did not get what you wanted or what you thought the club should do for you.

you then came on here saying the club should get more organised.

they are not willing to pay for your mistake - and as they don't have the money to shell out as they wish - they have made the right decision.

your Mum could have posted your tickets in a express post envelope and or platinum post and that has a guarantee next day delivery total cost $5.00. a little effort on your part.

Instead you have got the club running around trying there best to help you, you have Campbell Rose asking questions - taking his time up with your problem, because you forgot the tickets and you didn't get the answer you wanted.

I am fully apaulled that you think you are owed something - your not

I think you have alot of growing up to do and except you is your fault not the clubs you are in this predicament.

Vintage stuff Mr W :)

I wanted to help ... but I was foiled by a power failure in my area when I was halfway through my post.

I note that TADS has made the same suggestion that I was about to, ie get Larry to pop the card into an Express Bag or Priority whatsit and you would have had the card tomorrow. Even a courier might have been cheaper than a ticket into the ground (but I'm not sure about that).

Anyway the main thing is that you will be able to go to the game. Don't blame the club which has to abide by the rules.

Mr Walker, you are a wag.

(Has Rocco got religion?? )

My friend Stephen has also had troubles with the Western Bulldogs staff people as he had to ring up 3 times to get his membership!! Anyone would think they didnt need them!!! When he finally received they had spelt his name wrong!!! What a shocker!!!!
