The VFL won their first game in 3 months. They suck. Those players you just mentioned aren’t playing seniors. If and when they are, and doing that consistently with form, then you can laud the players and criticise the fans justifiably.

Everyone knows the VFL side is not winning, but you don't determine when supporters can or can't laud young players.

It's not conditional. You're either supporting or you're taking potshots from behind the anonymity of your keyboard.

It's easy to be a supporter when the side is winning grand finals. It's how one carries themselves when the times are tough that defines them.

We got a win by fielding our strongest team in weeks with players returning from injury. funny that.

We have been lucky to field half a dozen AFL listed players in our VFL team due to injuries.
It's no surprise that our VFL team has been flogged.
Quite a few haven't played much.

For example:
Begg, Steene, Carmichael and Murphy to name a few.

Not that different in recent years. Lost players like (off the top of my head) Jolly, Jetta, Mitchell, Rohan and Hannebery who were senior mainstays. Even Cameron. Every club loses players.

I remember all the doom and gloom in 2020/21, the future wasn't looking so great back then. 2023 Premiers. Coaching, effort and a bit of heart + determination sprinkled in with some luck can go a long way
