I would have given anything to be an only child. Me and my brother have never been able to get along. Their is one certain thing about all of this. When me and him go our separate ways, it is a certainty that we will never see each other again, unless their are some exceptional circumstances, like the Birthday of my Mum, but even then it is unlikely, as my Mum hates it when her Birthday comes around, and she is unlikely to want to celebrate it.

which makes me the classic neglected, sensitive and artistic middle child

Some people are envious of me because I come from a large family and everyone just assumes we are one big happy clan - but its not all beer and skittles growing up in an environment where your parents are focussed either on the older kids or the babies.

Middle kids miss out on alot of love and attention in big families becuase their is no time and they just get overlooked.

Even nowadays my mother still can't remember my name properly and continually gets me mixed up with her other children.

She cannot even recognise me by sight alot of the time !

I am the oldest, my sister (the second oldest) died in her sleep a week before my wedding 2 years ago - she was 22 years old.
Obviously, there is four of us now, my middle brother and sister are twins.

From reading some of the previous posts, it bothers me that siblings (in some families) completely hate each other. Believe me, when you have a death in your immediate family it really does make you realise how precious your brothers and sisters are.
Take my advice, if you have a disagreement/issue with a family member resolve it ASAP, because in an instant they could be gone.
