Does Caddy need to get better?

As most on this forum are aware I once infamously said "Caddy needs to get better". I believe he needs to get better. There are credible arguments as to whether he needs to get better or doesn't need to get better. Given their recent loss to Geelong with Motchin in the side Caddy was the only logical difference in that game. The media even mentioning how essential he is for Richmonds flag chances. I disagree but it is another side of the coin.

Ellis' career and 2017 season >> Caddy's. Astbury had also turned into a really good KPD they don't grow on trees.

I think he's getting better. We have played him out of position for much of the year because of a lack of a 2nd marking target in the forward line to help Riewoldt. With the emergence of Townsend we should be able to push Caddy back into the midfield where he likes to play and let Towno help Jack up forward.

Weird poll as well, most players in the league "could get better", Caddy has gotten better and form was building nicely before injury.

I was watching the one where the game was there to be won, Caddy was in Richmond's top 3 best players at halftime.

It was awful game overall. All players except Cotchin/Martin were shit. Unless VFL is your benchmark.

From what I saw of Caddy. Was just your typical Josh Caddy. Missed a handful of sitters and overall shocking cliche Caddy. So I don't know what game you were watching.
