It looked like McNeil was trying to play the defensive role on Sicily for a lot of that half. I think he has been quite solid since coming back in the side, think he has been noticeable with his pressure but don't remember him ever attempting a shutdown role. Just not sure why you wouldn't play West who you've used in that role throughout the year and is clearly best 22 if that was the plan. Sicily arguably BOG to half time

Unless they absolutely nail positioning, which is hard to ask a small to do for aerial work, then it’s unfair giving McNeil that role.
